About this hotel
General information
Opened in 2004, Bulgari Hotel Milano sits in one of the city’s most prestigious districts, a short walk from the luxury shopping streets, La Scala, galleries and museums. Its neighbour is the historic Botanical Garden, which makes the hotel a pocket of quiet and privacy in the middle of Milan.
Antonio Citterio designed the entire property, from the rooms to the restaurant and spa, in a restrained palette of oak, teak, travertine and Zimbabwean marble, with generous terraces opening onto the garden. Modern meeting rooms seat up to 30, and there is parking on site.
Location
The hotel lies in an upmarket part of central Milan beside the Botanical Garden, close to Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga and Via Brera and a short distance from La Scala.
Spa
The spa has a sauna and jacuzzi, including an open-air pair, along with calming rituals and face and body programmes using Amala and La Mer products. Hair stylist Roberto D’Antonio has a salon in the hotel for styling and treatments.
Sports & leisure
A generous swimming pool is enclosed by glass walls. The gym is equipped with current machines, and personal trainers can design a programme for each guest.
Restaurants & bars
The kitchen is led by three-Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito, and in the warmer months much of the hotel’s dining moves into the garden.
- Il Ristorante — Italian cooking by Niko Romito, with views over the park
- Il Bar — cocktails and small plates, a fashionable meeting place for guests and Milanese alike
- Lounge Bar — drinks and desserts throughout the day by the fireplace
- Il Giardino — breakfast, lunch and dinner in the garden in fine weather
- Dom Pérignon Bar — an exclusive bar set in the garden
- Il Gazebo — a secluded garden pavilion for intimate lunches and dinners, served on Richard Ginori porcelain
