General information
Augustus Hotel & Resort spreads out beside its own beach on the Tyrrhenian Sea, in an old park of mature pines, flower beds and emerald lawns. The resort’s story begins in the mid-20th century, and it is made up of elegant buildings and standalone villas with period interiors – among them Villa Agnelli, once the Agnelli family’s summer residence, where The Augustus Lido opened in 1969.
Within the grounds are several restaurants and bars focused on local cooking and Italian wine, two pools, a beach club, a Day Spa, a fitness centre and activities for the whole family, down to candlelit dinners by the sea. Event spaces include a 130 m² multipurpose room with a veranda at the beach club, and the hotel arranges weddings. Guests have free Wi-Fi, a concierge, laundry and parking with electric-vehicle charging.
Location
The resort sits beside a private beach close to the centre of Forte dei Marmi, 6 km from Querceta–Forte dei Marmi railway station, 35 km from Pisa international airport and 90 km from Florence international airport.
Spa
The Day Spa has a hot tub, sauna, hammam, tepidarium, experience showers, a relaxation area and treatment rooms, with face and body treatments using natural products by SkinCeuticals and Thalion.
Sports & leisure
There are two outdoor pools: one in the park and a heated seawater pool with a hydromassage area at the beach club. The fitness centre is equipped by Technogym and has an outdoor training area, with yoga and Pilates classes. Sailing, windsurfing and other water sports, boat trips, excursions and bicycle hire are also on offer.
For children
The beach club runs the Kids Time programme and swimming lessons, and staff look after children on the beach and by the pool. There is a children’s menu, family equipment and babysitting on request.

Cooking draws on local produce and the traditions of Versilia:

Rooms and suites are spread across Villa Pesenti, La Nave and the Augustus Lido complex, plus standalone villas in the gardens. Interiors mix classic elegance, Tuscan charm and modern comfort, and balconies and terraces look over the old park to the Apuan Alps.
Rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a safe, minibar, hairdryer, toiletries and bathrobes.

The resort’s central building, with 24 rooms, the La Sirena e la Fontana restaurant, the breakfast room and the lounge bar.
La Nave
A 1960s building in the middle of the park, styled after an ocean liner with deck-like terraces: 22 spacious cabin-rooms overlooking the garden and the Apuan Alps, with the spa and fitness centre on the ground floor.
Villa Radici
A historic two-storey villa in the pine grove with 7 rooms that pair contemporary design with Italian Liberty-style décor.
Villa Agnelli
An early-20th-century villa and former Agnelli summer residence with 19 rooms in period interiors; each of its three floors has its own palette – green, pink or blue – and an underground passage leads to the beach.
Classic Double Room
A bedroom and bathroom, some with a park-view balcony; in Villa Pesenti or Augustus Lido (Villa Agnelli or Il Lidino).
Superior Double Room
A bedroom and bathroom, some with a park-view balcony; in La Nave, Villa Pesenti or Augustus Lido.

Villa Conventino
An arcaded villa faced in Cardoso stone beside the resort pool: six bedrooms, a living room, oval dining room, kitchenette, six bathrooms and a private garden with an outdoor hot tub.
Villa Franca
A two-level villa with three bedrooms and three bathrooms upstairs, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a dining room with kitchen below, plus a private garden with an outdoor hot tub and a terrace.
Villa Fiocchi
A two-level villa of two apartments: four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a terrace upstairs; two bedrooms, a living and dining room, kitchenette, three bathrooms, a private garden and a pool terrace below.
Villa Rondine
A two-level villa of two apartments: ground-floor A (134 m²) with three bedrooms, a living and dining room, kitchenette, three bathrooms, a private garden and a terrace with an outdoor hot tub; upstairs B (79 m²) with two bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms and a terrace facing the Apuan Alps.
