General information
Aman Venice occupies Palazzo Papadopoli, one of eight monumental palaces on Venice’s Grand Canal, and carries the opulence and sensuality of the Venetian Republic. Painted ceilings, Renaissance fireplaces and sculpture, frescoes and antique chandeliers appear throughout the rooms, dining halls and salons, while Jean-Michel Gathy’s restrained contemporary interiors balance the Rococo art.
Private gardens, a rarity in a city built on water, adjoin the restaurants and spacious suites, and an open-air terrace looks over the Grand Canal and the greenery below. Location
The hotel stands on the Grand Canal in the centre of Venice, a few minutes’ walk from Piazza San Marco and the city’s other landmarks. The journey from Marco Polo airport takes about 50 minutes.
