About this hotel
General information
The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya rises above Israel’s largest marina in Herzliya Pituah, a quiet, well-to-do residential quarter on the Mediterranean coast. It feels more like a seaside residence than a city hotel: floor-to-ceiling glass, pale marble bathrooms, balconies facing either the open sea or the masts of the yachts below, and on the twelfth floor an open-air rooftop pool and bar looking out to the horizon.
There are 115 rooms and 82 suites, from studios and one- and two-bedroom suites to penthouses and the Presidential Suite. The suites are laid out like small apartments, with a separate living room, a dining area and an Italian-style kitchen. The hotel keeps a kosher kitchen. Guests also have The Ritz-Carlton Spa with its hammam, a sea-view gym open around the clock, concierge and butler service, and a ballroom, meeting rooms and wedding spaces set right across from the sea.
Location
The hotel stands at 4 Hashunit Street on the marina in Herzliya Pituah, a few steps from the beach. Central Tel Aviv is about 15 minutes away and Tel Aviv’s international airport 32.4 km; airport transfers are arranged on request, alongside a private car and limousine service and a complimentary local shuttle. A bus stop by the marina and Herzliya railway station are close by, and Apollonia National Park, with the remains of an ancient town on the coastal cliffs, is a 10-minute drive.
Spa
The Ritz-Carlton Spa has five treatment rooms and a couples’ suite, a traditional Turkish hammam, dry and wet saunas, a steam room and relaxation lounges looking over the Mediterranean and Herzliya. Facials use products by the Israeli skincare line Christina, while signature body treatments and massages draw on Dead Sea minerals and local herbs – a Cabernet grape-seed scrub, a black mud wrap, a body-butter massage. Ayurvedic treatments, men’s services and in-suite massages are also offered. The spa and gym are open to guests aged 18 and over.
Sports & leisure
The sea-facing gym is open 24 hours, with cardio machines, spinning bikes, free weights and strength equipment, plus locker rooms with sauna and steam; fitness classes and one-to-one fitness advice are available. The hotel has a games room and watercraft rental, and sailing trips leave from the marina, including three-hour outings on a yacht with an instructor. In summer a surf and dive centre in Herzliya offers private lessons and equipment hire. A 7.5 km promenade runs along the shore, and Herzliya Park has a cycle path and a running track.
For children
Children have their own recreation and a children’s pool; babysitting can be arranged on request.
Restaurants & bars
Blends Lounge, the relaxed lobby bar and restaurant, serves continental breakfast, a light lunch and dinner, afternoon tea with a local twist, a dairy menu and signature cocktails from 10am to 10pm; on weekdays at 6pm the kitchen makes fresh hummus, the chickpea and tahini dip with olive oil, lemon and garlic. The seasonal Rooftop Bar on the twelfth floor, beside the pool, opens by day for cocktails – the house signature is the Jasmine Rapture – and light dishes with Mediterranean views. In-room dining is also available. The kitchen is kosher: on Shabbat, from Friday sunset until Saturday evening, nothing is cooked, so in-room dining offers cold dishes only and cappuccinos and lattes are not made.
Swimming
The heated outdoor pool sits on the twelfth-floor roof, overlooking the marina and the sea, with a children’s pool alongside, lifeguards on duty and towels provided. It is open daily from 9am to 6pm; winter hours may differ. The beach is a few steps away: Herzliya’s promenade links seven public beaches along 7.5 km of golden sand, with lifeguard stations, showers and cafés.
Pets
Pets are not allowed; service animals are welcome without a fee.
