General information
Kayma is an intimate Isrotel Exclusive hotel right on the Dead Sea shore at Ein Bokek. There are just 40 rooms, each set in its own pavilion around an infinity pool, which gives guests space, quiet and long views over the water and the desert. Architecture, materials, furniture and lighting were conceived as one: restrained shapes, calm natural tones and nothing superfluous.
The hotel is designed for slow, unhurried stays and welcomes guests aged 10 and over. The lobby doubles as the restaurant and serves throughout the day, the beach is reached straight from the grounds, and a second restaurant sits on the shore next door. Valet parking uses a large covered car park close to the rooms, with charging points for electric cars.
Location
The hotel stands on the beachfront at Ein Bokek, the resort strip on the Dead Sea shore, with direct access to the beach. The Ein Bokek promenade runs alongside, and Masada is about 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel area.
Spa
The Carmel Forest Spa builds on Dead Sea minerals, with massages, facials, mineral mud wraps and salt scrubs, including one with the Carmel Forest signature scent. Signature rituals include the Kayma Treatment, the Balancing Treatment and the Indian Cleansing Journey with a warm sesame-oil Abhyanga massage; there are also hot-stone massages, Shirodhara, four-hand treatments, pregnancy massages and couples’ treatments in a room for two. Facials use Dermalogica, Casmara and Christina products. Guests also have a steam room, a dry sauna and a gym; body treatments are for guests aged 16 and over.
Sports & leisure
The spa houses a well-equipped gym, while the days centre on the pool overlooking the Dead Sea and the beach beside the hotel. In the evening the Ein Bokek promenade is an easy stroll. Nearby are Masada, climbed on foot or by cable car, and the Ein Gedi nature reserve with its waterfalls and desert trails.
Restaurants & bars
The hotel has two kosher restaurants, and room service runs from 8:00 to 23:00.
- Kayma Restaurant — the restaurant doubles as the lobby and serves all day: breakfast is à la carte, brought to the table (pastries, cheeses, smoked fish, salads and hot dishes cooked to order), while dinner is a dairy menu of fish in Mediterranean and international styles and pasta; on Friday evenings it switches to an à la carte meat dinner featuring special cuts.
- Beachfront Restaurant — a steakhouse on the shore pairing local flavours with international classics, with views across the Dead Sea to the mountains on the far shore, at their best at sunset. Open every day.
Swimming
The outdoor infinity pool, ringed by the room pavilions, looks straight out over the Dead Sea. The beach adjoins the hotel, with complimentary sunbeds, towels and shade, and the Dead Sea’s buoyant salt water a few steps away.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the rooms or public areas; service animals are the only exception.
Rooms
All 40 rooms are set in separate pavilions around the pool, ranging from 35–38 m² rooms with pool, garden or sea views to a family unit and a Presidential Suite with its own pool.
Each room has a king-size bed, a sofa, a table with two chairs, a flat-screen TV, a coffee machine with complimentary coffee, a safe, bathrobes and free Wi-Fi; all rooms are non-smoking.
Kayma Standard Room
The entry room, with a king-size bed, a large sofa, a table with two chairs and a shower room. Sleeps two adults.
Pool & Sea Vista Room
A room looking over the pool and the sea, with a king-size bed, a large sofa and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Sleeps two adults, or two adults and a child.
Sea Vista Room
A sea-view room with a king-size bed, a large sofa, a table with two chairs and a shower. Sleeps two adults, or two adults and a child.
Sea & Garden Room
A room facing the sea and the garden, with a large wooden deck, a king-size bed, a sofa and a shower. Sleeps two adults and a child.
Waterfront Room
A room by the water with two private sunbeds, a king-size bed, a large sofa and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Sleeps two adults.
Family Complex
A family room with a king-size bed, a large sofa and a spacious wooden deck. Sleeps three adults, or two adults and two children.
Presidential Suite
A suite with its own pool and a 130 m² balcony, a king-size bed, a large sofa and a shower. Sleeps two adults.
