About this hotel
General information
The Killarney Park is a family-owned five-star hotel in the heart of Killarney, County Kerry, with Killarney National Park a two-minute walk from its gate. Independent and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, it is built around personal service and an intimate knowledge of the region. The interiors follow a quiet-luxury approach: warm tones and textures drawn from the Kerry landscape, panoramic wallpapers based on historic watercolours of the national park, soft lighting and handmade furnishings by Irish designers and local craftspeople.
The hotel is best known for its spa, with eight treatment suites, a stone caldarium and a 20-metre indoor pool, and for The Peregrine, a restaurant cooking with seasonal local produce. Evenings drift between The Garden Bar, with the warmth of a traditional Irish pub and a serious whiskey collection, a quiet library stocked with books on Irish history and folklore, and the billiards table, while the concierge team shapes days in the mountains, on the lakes and along the coast.
Location
The hotel sits in Killarney town centre, a three-minute walk from the train and bus stations; Killarney National Park, a UNESCO biosphere reserve of lakes, woodland and mountains, begins two minutes on foot from the gate. Kerry Airport is about 30 minutes by car, Cork Airport about 1.5 hours, Shannon Airport about 2 hours and Dublin Airport about 4 hours. The hotel runs no transfers of its own, but the concierge can arrange a private car or taxi. Guests arriving by car have free private parking and six EV charging points.
Spa
The Spa at The Killarney Park has eight private treatment suites, a stone caldarium, a relaxation room with loungers and a panoramic saltwater aquarium, a sauna, a steam room, a bubble pool, an outdoor hot tub and the 20-metre indoor pool. Treatments use the British brand Elemis; signatures include The Retreat, three short treatments chosen from a mini facial, back massage, pressure-point foot massage and scalp massage, a body renewal ritual with dry brushing and a nourishing wrap, and a deep recovery massage designed for golfers, alongside hot-stone massage and LED facials. Treatments are for guests aged 18 and over.

- The Whiskey Room — a small room within The Garden Bar holding Irish and international whiskeys, with personalised tastings, including a cheese and whiskey pairing
- The Terrace — a heated sunroom opening onto an outdoor deck with garden views, serving The Garden Bar menu and hosting private dinners and celebrations
