Conrad Dublin

About this hotel

General information

Conrad Dublin is a contemporary city hotel on Earlsfort Terrace, right in the centre of Dublin, looking across at the classical façade of the National Concert Hall with St Stephen's Green a few steps away. The interiors are calm and light: cool tones, wood panelling, bay windows, Irish artwork and bathrooms in glossy marble.

Rooms are generous even at entry level, and the top of the range is a top-floor presidential suite with a baby grand piano and a dining table for eight. Dinner is served at The Coburg, a brasserie built around Irish cooking, while cocktails and a traditional teatime belong to Lemuel's, a literary-themed bar. A 24-hour gym is complemented by running routes around the Green, and the concierge team puts together one-, three- and five-hour itineraries in and around the city. The Conrad Ballroom hosts private celebrations and weddings.

Location

The hotel stands on Earlsfort Terrace opposite the National Concert Hall, beside St Stephen's Green and the quiet Iveagh Gardens. Much is within walking distance: Grafton Street is 800 m away, Trinity College and St Patrick's Cathedral about 1 km, Temple Bar 1.3 km and Dublin Castle 1.5 km, with the Guinness Storehouse 2.5 km and Phoenix Park 5 km away. Dublin Airport is about 14.5 km away; the hotel does not run its own airport shuttle.

Sports & leisure

The 24-hour gym has cardio machines and free weights, and the paths of St Stephen's Green make an easy running loop. The concierge offers a set of one-, three- and five-hour itineraries: a stroll through the Iveagh Gardens with their cascades and fountains, a visit to the Celtic Tweed atelier in Balbriggan, where Irish tweed is woven and tailored by hand and guests can try the loom, a private half-day along the coast to Howth harbour and the medieval castle at Malahide, and a 4×4 day in the Wicklow Mountains down to Lough Tay with tastings of local produce along the way. Private yacht trips on Dublin Bay, tours of Trinity College and the Book of Kells, and visits to the Teeling whiskey distillery can also be arranged.

Restaurants & bars

The Coburg is a classic brasserie facing the concert hall, cooking modern and traditional Irish dishes from local produce in an equestrian-themed room of leather seating, horsebit details and framed silk scarves, with a dedicated dinner menu before concerts. Lemuel's is a lounge bar inspired by Gulliver's Travels, pouring signature cocktails and New World wines alongside small plates with global flavours; in the afternoon it serves a traditional teatime of cakes, tarts and sandwiches. In-room dining is available around the clock.

Pets

Pets are welcome, large dogs included, as are service animals, and four-legged guests receive their own welcome amenities. A fee applies for pets.
