About this hotel
General information
The Langham, Jakarta occupies the upper floors of a mixed-use tower in the SCBD business district of South Jakarta. Its 224 rooms and suites marry the understated British polish associated with the Langham name with Asian touches: high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, marble bathrooms and city panoramas from almost every corner.
Dining is the hotel’s calling card. Of its five restaurants and bars, four sit between the 61st and 65th floors — Cantonese, Japanese and European kitchens topped by an open-air bar at the summit — while the Langham’s signature afternoon tea is served in a lobby-level bistro. The Langham Club occupies the 59th floor, and Chuan Spa and a garden-framed outdoor pool the 6th. For events there is a pillarless 688 m² ballroom, nine daylit function rooms and an alfresco garden.
Location
The hotel stands in the SCBD business district of South Jakarta, close to the city’s main financial, cultural and entertainment quarters; Senayan MRT station is 650 m away, about an eight-minute walk. Jakarta’s international airport lies 30 km away, roughly 30 minutes by car.
Spa
Chuan Spa on the 6th floor draws on Traditional Chinese Medicine, with four treatment rooms, a couples’ room among them, plus a sauna and steam rooms. Signature treatments include a hot-and-cold stone massage, an oxygenating facial, a couples’ ritual of herbal steam followed by massage and a men’s treatment pairing a back exfoliation with a relaxing massage. Facials use Biologique Recherche products, and the Sleep Matters by Chuan programme is devoted to better rest. Next door, Barberia at The Langham offers traditional shaves, haircuts and grooming for men.
Sports & leisure
The 24-hour Health Club on the 63rd floor has Technogym cardio equipment, free weights and a relaxation area with refreshments; personal trainers are available on request, alongside circuit and core sessions, and private yoga takes place in Hampton Garden. The concierge arranges outings in and around the city:
- a walk through the historic Kota Tua quarter, with the Jakarta History Museum and a wayang puppet workshop
- a hands-on batik workshop led by local artisans
- a floral arrangement class, with a bouquet to take home
- the Bogor Botanical Garden, a waterfall trek and a puppet workshop
- a trek through rainforest to the Kawah Ratu crater on Mount Salak
Restaurants & bars
The restaurants and bars fill the lobby and the top of the tower, and round-the-clock in-room dining runs under the name Private Kitchen:
- ALICE by Tom Aikens — a lobby-level French bistro and patisserie for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea, with a corner bar
- Tom’s by Tom Aikens — European cooking with British roots on the 62nd floor: a show kitchen, a wood-fired oven, dry-aged meats and Sunday brunch
- T’ang Court — Cantonese cuisine on the 61st floor in the tradition of its namesake at The Langham, Hong Kong, with six private dining rooms
- Morimoto Jakarta — contemporary Japanese cooking with Western influences on the 63rd floor, with a sushi bar, wines and sake
- Artesian Bar Jakarta — a 65th-floor rooftop bar with an indoor lounge and an outdoor garden, cocktails built on Indonesian botanicals and spices, and sharing plates
Candlelit dinners under the open sky can be arranged in Hampton Garden.
