Park Hyatt Jakarta

About this hotel

General information

Park Hyatt Jakarta occupies the upper floors of a 37-storey tower in Menteng, the leafy heart of Central Jakarta, a few minutes from the National Monument. Guests arrive at a sky lobby on the 23rd floor, and the 220 rooms, 36 of them suites, begin on the 25th, each with floor-to-ceiling windows over the city and, from some, Monas itself.

The interiors are conceived as a city residence drawing on the rainforest and the crafts of the archipelago: lava stone, copper, hand-woven ikat motifs and carved wood. The palette lightens as the building rises — deeper tones below recall the forest understorey, paler ones above its canopy — and the lobby is hung with installations of hand-blown crystal. A library on the 23rd floor serves as a quiet place to work or meet. Restaurants and bars are spread over several levels up to KITA Bar on the 36th, while the spa, pool and fitness centre share the 35th.

Location

The hotel stands on Jalan Kebon Sirih in Menteng, a district laid out in the early 20th century as a garden city of tree-lined streets and period houses. Merdeka Square and the National Monument, Istiqlal Mosque and Jakarta Cathedral are all close by, and the old town of Kota Tua is about 25 minutes away by car. Jakarta’s international airport is 30 km away; the hotel runs its own limousines and offers valet parking as well as a covered car park with direct access to the lobby.

Spa

The Spa, on the 35th floor with views across Jakarta, pairs Indonesian healing traditions with modern aesthetic treatments: traditional body therapies and facials built on natural local ingredients such as betel leaf. Facilities include a couples’ treatment room, saunas, a jet pool and a hair salon.

Sports & leisure

The 24-hour fitness centre on the 35th floor has Technogym cardio equipment, stability, BOSU and medicine balls, free weights, a separate studio with full-body workout stations and certified personal trainers, with the pool and spa alongside. In the evenings The Bar has live music on Fridays, and resident DJs play at KITA Bar on the rooftop.

Restaurants & bars

The restaurants are spread across several floors, each with a panorama of Central Jakarta:

  • Dining Room — a 22nd-floor restaurant with a live kitchen: Indonesian specialities and regional Italian cooking from local produce, buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday brunch and private dining rooms
  • Atelier 23 — a culinary and pâtisserie space on the 23rd floor: French classics and contemporary South-east Asian dishes, a living room facing Monas, a veranda with indoor and open-air seating, afternoon tea and cakes
  • The Bar — beside the 23rd-floor lobby, with light bites, crafted drinks and live music on Fridays
  • LI LIAN 丽莲 — Cantonese cooking on the 19th floor: Peking duck roasted in a wood-fired oven over rambutan wood and carved at the table, dim sum, a curated list of Chinese teas, six private rooms and an open-air veranda overlooking Monas; also the LI LIAN Park Suites, private dining rooms with karaoke, and the LI LIAN Park Lounge for celebrations of up to 120 guests
  • KITA 喜多 Restaurant — modern Japanese cooking from an open kitchen on the 37th floor: teppanyaki, shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, charcoal robatayaki, tempura, and sushi and sashimi served omakase; nine private rooms, including a tatami room
  • KITA Bar — a 36th-floor rooftop bar with indoor and outdoor areas, signature cocktails, izakaya-style small plates and sunset views over Monas
  • In-room dining — local and Western dishes around the clock
Swimming

The pool is on the 35th floor next to the fitness centre, with a sun deck looking out over the city.
