About this hotel
General information
The Leela Palace Udaipur sits right on the shore of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, looking across the water to the City Palace and the Aravalli hills. It is a contemporary palace in the Rajasthani manner, its façade crowned with domed chhatri pavilions and carved jharokha balconies, and guests arrive by boat. Inside are courtyards and corridors lined with Mewari murals and embroidered tapestries, lotuses carved from white marble, dark-wood furniture inlaid with brass tarkashi work and thikri mirrorwork catching the light of the chandeliers. Beside the palace lies the Guava Garden, an orchard threaded with marble paths.
There are 83 rooms, suites and villas; many rooms have balconies over the lake and several have their own pools. The Leela Palace Service assigns each guest butlers who take care of every detail from before arrival onwards. The three lakeside villas of Arq By The Leela, Villas at Pichola come with pools, Jacuzzis and a dedicated Palace Service associate for each villa. Each evening Rajasthani folk music and dance fill the courtyard, and dinner is served on lantern-lit terraces as the lake fades into twilight.
Location

Private yoga sessions with certified instructors take place by the lake.
