About this hotel
General information
The St. Regis Budapest occupies the historic Klotild Palace on Váci Street, at the heart of Belváros. The Belle Époque building, crowned by a domed corner tower, keeps its grand staircase, which leads guests up to an atrium beneath delicate floral fretwork, while the palace’s old pharmacy now houses a patisserie. Interiors take their cue from the flow of the Danube and the region’s craft traditions, with original artworks, Bauhaus-inspired minibars and floor-to-ceiling windows.
There are 102 rooms and suites, and every stay comes with the brand’s signature St. Regis butler service. Afternoon tea is served daily in the atrium, and evenings belong to a cocktail bar and a Japanese restaurant. The spa, with its pool, hammam and Omorovicza treatments, is an intimate counterpoint to the city’s grand bathhouses. The hotel is for adult guests: the minimum check-in age is 18.
Location
The hotel stands at Váci Street 34, by Ferenciek tere in Belváros, a few steps from Elisabeth Bridge and the Danube embankment, where Buda meets Pest. Ferenciek tere metro station is close by, and the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, St Stephen’s Basilica and Andrássy Avenue are an easy walk or short ride away, as are Buda Castle, Gellért Hill and the Rudas Baths across the river. Budapest Airport is about 20.5 km away; the hotel arranges transfers by private car or van, and valet parking is available.
Spa
The St. Regis Spa is a quiet retreat with a heated indoor pool, a hammam, a sauna and a steam room. Private treatment rooms host massages, including couples’ treatments, and facials using the Hungarian brand Omorovicza and France’s Sothys; massages can also be booked in-suite. The spa is open daily and treatments are by appointment.
Sports & leisure
The glass-roofed fitness centre, with panoramic city views, is open around the clock and complimentary for guests: cardio machines, ellipticals and bikes, strength equipment, free weights and Pilates reformers. The spa adds an indoor pool. Set in Pest’s pedestrian centre, the hotel is a natural starting point for walks along the Danube, across the bridges to Buda and down Váci Street, with Margaret Island, City Park and the Széchenyi Thermal Bath within easy reach.
