About this hotel
General information
Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest occupies a restored former luxury shopping arcade on Ferenciek tere, in the very centre of Pest. The building is a showpiece of eclecticism, where Moorish, Oriental and Neo-Gothic motifs meet Beaux-Arts and Art Nouveau elements. Walls and arches are covered in ornament, Zsolnay ceramics sit alongside stained glass and Villeroy & Boch tiles, and a glass dome rises above the inner passage.
Part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, the hotel has 110 rooms, including 18 suites and two presidential suites. Because the building is heritage-protected, each room has its own layout while sharing one consistent style. Under the dome of the passage are the Párisi Passage restaurant and café, with the Bar Henry cocktail bar nearby; there is also the Zafír Spa with saunas and a relaxation pool, a fitness room and more than 300 m² of event space across two levels.
Location
The hotel stands on Ferenciek tere in Belváros, Budapest’s District V, a few minutes’ walk from the Danube. Váci Street, St Stephen’s Basilica and the Great Market Hall are all within an easy stroll, with the Chain Bridge and the funicular up to Castle Hill a little further on. Budapest Airport is 21 km away and Keleti railway station about 3 km; the hotel arranges limousine transfers and VIP airport assistance. Guests arriving by car have valet parking to a secure automated car park.
Spa
The Zafír Spa on the first floor takes its name from the sapphire, and its four treatment rooms are named after other gemstones: Jade, Ruby, Amethyst and Crystal. Facilities include a steam room, a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna, a lounge and a relaxation pool. The menu covers classic and deep-tissue massages, hot-stone massage, aromatherapy, facials and body treatments, foot rituals and the signature Párisi Ritual, using Hungarian natural cosmetics made with thermal water. Treatments are best booked before arrival.
Sports & leisure
A modern fitness room is equipped with cardio and strength-training machines. The concierge can arrange Danube cruises, private city tours, Segway rides, sightseeing flights over Hungary or a visit to one of Budapest’s thermal baths. Most of the central sights, from the river promenade to Castle Hill, are best explored on foot.
Restaurants & bars
Dining is centred on the passage beneath the crystal dome.
- Párisi Passage Restaurant — Hungarian and international dishes from seasonal local produce, simply and elegantly presented, with an extensive champagne list; breakfast is also served here
- Párisi Passage Café — a café in the spirit of the city’s grand old coffee houses, with classic and seasonal cakes from its own pastry kitchen, coffee and drinks
- Bar Henry — a cocktail bar whose drinks take their cue from the building’s architecture
In-room dining is also available.
