General information
Aria Hotel Budapest is an intimate hotel in Lipótváros, right beside St Stephen’s Basilica, devoted from top to bottom to music. Its interiors set out to recapture the richness of a historic Hungarian palace while keeping the ease of a private residence: neo-Baroque furniture in pared-back modern forms, Murano glass chandeliers and coffered ceilings. Rooms are spread across four wings — Classical, Opera, Jazz and Contemporary — each with its own palette and mood.
At the centre lies the Music Garden, a glass-roofed courtyard where breakfast is laid out every morning and a daily wine and cheese reception is accompanied by live music in the late afternoon. There are live performances every day, refreshments in the music library throughout the day, and guests can ask for a personal soundtrack to be played in their room, the spa or the public spaces. Up on the roof, the year-round High Note SkyBar takes in a full circle of Budapest views, while the Harmony Spa below offers an indoor pool, saunas and a gym.
Location
The hotel stands on Hercegprímás utca in Budapest’s District V, in a historic pedestrian quarter of Pest immediately beside St Stephen’s Basilica; Andrássy Avenue is a 3-minute walk and the Széchenyi Chain Bridge 5 minutes on foot. Vehicle access to the street is restricted, so drivers send their licence plate number ahead, and valet parking takes cars to a secure garage. The hotel arranges limousine transfers to and from Budapest Airport, the railway stations and the river cruise terminals, as well as taxis through a trusted partner.
Spa
The Harmony Spa draws on Hungary’s bathing culture: an aromatic steam room, Finnish and infrared saunas, a whirlpool and the pool are free for hotel guests. Treatments span massages, facials and body wraps built on natural ingredients such as Hungarian thermal water, herbs and vitamin extracts, with Éminence Organic Skin Care as the house line. Signatures include lavender and Hungarian paprika wraps paired with facials, and the Rose Harmony ritual of rose-oil aromas, a full-body massage and a facial, all given on heated treatment beds.
Sports & leisure
The gym inside the Harmony Spa has cardio machines and free weights, and aqua bikes stand in the pool. Music runs well beyond the daily live performances: guests can book a serenade, with professional musicians playing on their own balcony, and the hotel’s music director suggests concerts and cultural events around the city.

Eating and drinking centre on three spaces:
- Music Garden — the glass-roofed courtyard: a daily breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to order, cocktails and refreshments through the day, and a complimentary wine and cheese reception with live music in the late afternoon
- Café Liszt — a café-bar with terrace: modern European cooking with Hungarian dishes, breakfast, coffee and coffee desserts all day, cocktails and live music, beneath walls signed by famous musicians
- High Note SkyBar — the rooftop bar, with Budapest panoramas and sunset views of the Basilica: music-inspired signature cocktails, sparkling wines and champagne, bar food and dinner, plus a champagne bar on the terrace in season
Swimming
The Harmony Spa has a heated indoor pool fitted with aqua bikes, alongside a whirlpool, saunas and a steam room.
Pets
Well-behaved pets are welcome with prior approval: a registration form is sent ahead of arrival, and the Very Important Pet package brings a bed, food and water bowls, a welcome treat and a toy to take home.
Rooms
Rooms and suites are spread across four themed wings: Classical, neo-Baroque in hazelnut and turquoise; Opera, in grey, lilac and orchid with tufted velvet headboards; Contemporary, after 1970s Pop Art; and Jazz, after a 1920s jazz club, with exposed brick and chrome writing tables. Each room is dedicated to a musical legend, and many have furnished balconies over the Music Garden courtyard.

SunRoom

Terrace Room
A classical-style room on the fifth floor with a king-size bed (180 × 200 cm) and a private balcony looking over the city; an onyx bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Sleeps two.
Luxury Room
A room in the Jazz or Contemporary wing with a king-size bed and a private open-air balcony, mostly overlooking the Music Garden courtyard; an onyx bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Sleeps two.
Grand Luxury Room
A city-view room with a classical-music-inspired interior and two double beds (140 × 200 cm); an onyx bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. For two adults.
Aria Signature Room – Music Garden Balcony
A generous room with a king-size bed and a furnished balcony of about 8.5 m² over the Music Garden courtyard; an onyx bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, some with a freestanding tub. Decorated in the style of any of the four wings, for two guests.
Aria Signature Room – City View
A neo-Baroque room facing the city, with a king-size bed and a sofa bed for one adult or two children under 12; an onyx bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Sleeps two adults and two children.
Studio
A studio with a glass sun wall, an extra-large sofa, a marble bistro table, a lacquered French-style writing desk and a king-size bed; the blue granite bathroom has a freestanding soaking tub and a separate onyx shower. For two adults.
La Traviata One Bedroom Terrace Suite
The one-bedroom version of the La Traviata suite, with a bedroom, a parlour and a terrace; king-size bed. Sleeps two.
Opera Suite
A city-view suite with a 39 m² bedroom and king-size bed and a 27 m² parlour with a sofa bed for one or two children; an onyx bathroom with shower stall. Sleeps two adults and two children.
Romeo & Juliet Balcony Suite
A 39 m² king-bedded bedroom and a large 27 m² parlour with a sofa bed, opening onto a spacious balcony above a cobbled street; an onyx bathroom with shower stall. Sleeps two adults and two children.
Two Bedroom Family Duet
Two connecting rooms — an Opera-style Aria Signature Room and a Jazz-style Luxury Room — with two king-size beds, two onyx bathrooms and balconies over the Music Garden courtyard. Sleeps four adults.
La Traviata Two Bedroom Terrace Suite
Two bedrooms with king-size beds (180 × 200 cm), a parlour with dining table and sofa bed, two bathrooms and a terrace furnished with love seats, chairs and potted plants. Sleeps up to six, including one or two small children on the sofa bed.
