General information
Vedema Resort is walled like an ancient town and built around a winery some 400 years old, among old vineyards and a fragrant garden. Its villas and cottages are spread through the village of Megalochori on Santorini, with interiors that bring together modern minimalism and Greek motifs.
Two restaurants, a private dining room and four bars serve Greek and international cooking alongside an extensive wine list and classic cocktails. Guests also have a spa with fitness centre, a pool, a private volcanic-sand beach, a meeting room for 75, a 24-hour business centre, a boutique and an art gallery. The resort arranges weddings, limousine service and transfers to the airport, the port and Fira.
Location
The resort is in the village of Megalochori on Santorini, the southernmost of the Cyclades. The international airport is 7 km away (about 15 minutes), Athinios port 4 km (about 10 minutes) and Fira, the island’s capital, 5 km (about 10 minutes).
Spa
The spa offers massages, wraps, reflexology, aromatherapy, facials and beauty programmes, with a sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and a fitness centre equipped by Cybex.
Sports & leisure
The grounds have an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi; tennis courts are 500 m away and water sports are offered at the beach, 4 km away. Mountain bikes are complimentary, and motorboats can be hired for trips to neighbouring islands.

Swimming
The resort’s own equipped beach of volcanic sand lies 4 km away, served by a regular complimentary shuttle, with loungers, umbrellas, towels and a beach bar.
Rooms
The 45 villas and cottages, some with private pools, sit among the vineyards and garden around the old winery. Each takes its cue from an era of ancient Greece — Dorian, Athenian or Aegean — in white with touches of azure and green, with marble floors, Cycladic furniture and a terrace.
Each villa has air conditioning, satellite TV, a telephone, wireless internet, a DVD player, a safe and minibar.
Dorian Suite
A bedroom with a separate or adjoining sitting room, a spacious bathroom with bath and shower, and a terrace or patio facing the garden. Up to 3 adults.
Ionian Suite
A king-size bedroom with sitting area, a bathroom with rain shower and a terrace overlooking the surroundings or the resort. Up to 3 guests.
Aegean Suite
A bedroom, a sitting room with dining area and fireplace, a bathroom with whirlpool bath, and a terrace or patio with Jacuzzi and views of the vineyards and sea. Up to 3 guests.
Athenian Suite
Two bedrooms, a sitting room, two bathrooms and a terrace or patio looking over the garden and village with side sea views; well suited to families. Up to 5 guests.
Olympian Villa
A bedroom, a sitting room with dining area, a bathroom with whirlpool bath and a large veranda with Jacuzzi and private pool facing the sea and vineyards; it connects to a second villa of the same type. Up to 3 guests.
Presidential Villa
Three neoclassical bedrooms, a sitting room with a large dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, three bathrooms with whirlpool baths, and a patio with Jacuzzi and heated pool overlooking the village, sea and vineyards. Up to 7 guests.
Nafsika Estate
A two-level estate with five bedrooms, a living and dining room whose large windows face the pool, a guest kitchen and its own helipad, with twice-daily housekeeping, a personal butler and a private chef. Up to 10 guests.
