The Dolli at Acropolis

About this hotel

General information

The Dolli at Acropolis occupies a neoclassical mansion designed in 1925 by the noted architect Andreas Kriezis, in central Athens beside the Acropolis and the old lanes of Plaka. The boutique hotel welcomed its first guests at the end of 2022.

The façade inspired a bold eclecticism inside: ancient statues and eighteenth-century antiques share the rooms with original works by Pablo Picasso and Jean Cocteau and pieces by the surrealist designers Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne. Beyond the finely decorated rooms there are lounges and a library, and on the roof a restaurant, bar and infinity pool with a panorama of the Parthenon and the city.

Location

The hotel is in central Athens, close to the Acropolis, Plaka — the oldest quarter of the city — and the main sights of the historic centre. Syntagma metro station is a five-minute walk, the port of Piraeus about 20 minutes by car and Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport about 45 minutes.

Sports & leisure

An infinity pool on the roof looks across the historic centre of Athens.

Restaurants & bars

The restaurant, bar and lounges carry on the mansion’s artistic theme.

  • Dolli’s — a rooftop restaurant and bar with a refined menu, an extensive wine list and views over ancient Athens
  • Le Bar Secret — a library of rare books hung with drawings by Picasso and Cocteau, for a quiet glass of wine, coffee or tea
  • Le Salon — a lounge set with works by renowned artists and eighteenth-century pieces, serving small plates and drinks

In-room dining is available.
