General information
Porto Zante Villas & Spa is a small collection of villas set in a secluded, sandy bay on Zakynthos. The island lies west of mainland Greece and is known for its loggerhead turtles and villages with Venetian-era architecture. The property is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
There is no conventional hotel block: guests stay in individual villas, each with a private heated pool or its own stretch of beach. The mood is that of a private home, backed by round-the-clock service — breakfast is laid out in the villa, and spa treatments take place there too. For evenings, the Club House restaurant and bar look across the Ionian Sea to neighbouring Kefalonia.
Location
The villas stand in the Tragaki area, 8 km from Zakynthos International Airport and 7 km from the island’s main town and port. The nearest village is about a kilometre away.
Spa
Porto Zante Spa offers more than 20 treatments from around the world, all delivered in the privacy of the guest’s villa. Therapists work with natural products, Greek herbs and signature massage techniques.
Sports & leisure
Private speedboat or yacht trips take guests to the island’s highlights: Shipwreck Bay, the Blue Caves and Turtle Island, home to Caretta caretta turtles. Cruises to neighbouring Kefalonia (around 40 minutes) and other Ionian islands can be arranged on request.
For children
Young guests can join activities led by experienced carers, and babysitting is available.
Restaurants & bars
The Club House restaurant serves Greek and Mediterranean cuisine with views over the Ionian Sea to Kefalonia, while the Club House bar pours cocktails, spirits and soft drinks from day into night. In-villa dining runs around the clock, with breakfast, snacks, lunch or dinner prepared and served on site.
Swimming
The resort has its own sandy beach in the bay, and several villas have a private section of shore with personal loungers and a parasol.
Rooms
Eight villa categories, from the Deluxe Spa Villa to the Imperial Spa Villa, sit right on the seafront. Each has marble bathrooms, most with jacuzzi and hydromassage shower, and either a heated private pool or a private stretch of beach.
Internet access, TV, CD and DVD player, telephone, minibar, safe, air conditioning, a desk with personal computer, and toiletries.
Deluxe Spa Villa
Seafront villa with a heated pool and Ionian views: king bedroom, open-plan living area with kitchen, a separate lounge with desk, and a marble bathroom with jacuzzi. Sleeps four.
One Royal Spa Villa
Seafront villa with a private beach area: king bedroom, two marble bathrooms, walk-in wardrobe, living and dining room, large kitchen and an enclosed courtyard. Sleeps four.
Presidential Spa Villa
Set in a green garden on the shore with a heated pool: two king bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and dressing rooms, living and dining area, kitchen and furnished terrace. Sleeps seven.
Grand Presidential Spa Villa
Two-level villa with panoramic bay views and a private beach area: two king bedrooms with marble bathrooms, living and dining room, kitchen and two terraces. Sleeps seven.
Royal Infinity Villa - 2 Bedroom
Set right above the resort’s private beach, with a large heated pool and a private beach area with loungers and parasols: two king bedrooms with walk-in dressing rooms, three marble bathrooms, living and dining area, study and small kitchen. Sleeps up to seven.
Royal Spa Villa
Beachfront villa with a private beach area and a heated pool behind Venetian-style stone walls: three bedrooms, three bathrooms, living and dining room, large kitchen and an enclosed courtyard. Sleeps six to eight.
Grand Residence
Two-level residence with a private beach, suited to large families or groups: four bedrooms with sitting areas, four marble bathrooms, a terrace with heated pool and a landscaped garden with dining area. Sleeps 14.
Imperial Spa Villa
A private estate with its own beach area, large tropical garden and heated pool: four master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, living and dining rooms, large kitchen and enclosed courtyard. Sleeps 12.
