General information
Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino opened in 2023 on a gentle hillside that runs down to a white-sand beach and the Ionian Sea. The architecture is set into the natural landscape, so Navarino Bay, the olive groves and the golf courses are in view from almost everywhere — the pools, the terraces of suites and villas, the restaurants.
The hotel has 99 suites and villas, a spa with a 25-metre pool, a beach club and eight restaurants and bars, from Greek cooking to a French brasserie. Days can be filled with water sports, cooking classes, wine and olive oil tastings, boat trips and excursions around the Peloponnese, and the team also arranges weddings and honeymoon programmes.
Location
The hotel lies within the Costa Navarino resort on the south-western coast of the Peloponnese, on a beach in Navarino Bay close to the village and lagoon of Gialova. Kalamata International Airport is 40 km away and Athens airport about 300 km.
Spa
The spa has a 25-metre indoor-outdoor pool, a spa pool, sauna, relaxation area, treatment rooms and open-air treatment pavilions. Rituals are rooted in Asian traditions and use natural Greek botanical products.
Sports & leisure
Beyond the spa pool there is an outdoor pool at the beach club. The fitness centre has modern equipment and an open-air area, and the programme takes in yoga, surfing, kitesurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkelling and diving, fishing, cycling and hiking, rock climbing, cooking classes, wine and olive oil tastings, boat trips and excursions. Four 18-hole golf courses and a 16-court tennis centre are close by.

Eight venues take in Greece, the Levant, Italy and France:
- Oliviera — authentic and contemporary Greek cuisine, large open terrace
- Pizza Sapienza — Italian pizza overlooking the pool
- Tahir — Levantine and eastern Mediterranean dishes by the water, with an extensive wine list
- Brasserie de la Bay — contemporary French cooking and grills with panoramic views of Navarino Bay
- Ted’s — intimate lounge within the brasserie for drinks and private dinners
- The Private Kitchen Counter & Lounge — a room for 12–16 guests for private dinners and cooking classes
- Three Admirals Lounge — cocktails and light bites on a terrace facing the Ionian Sea
- Ormos — beach bar for snacks and drinks
