About this hotel
General information
King George dates from 1936 and stands in the so-called golden quarter of Athens. It was built as a small town palace annexed to the Royal Palace, now the Parliament, and later turned into a hotel named after a distinguished guest, King George II. Maria Callas, Aristotle Onassis, Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra were among those who followed.
The interiors marry the grandeur of another era with present-day comfort. Guests have a restaurant and bars known for signature cocktails and fine spirits, a spa and fitness centre, three meeting rooms and a ballroom for 15–400 people, a business centre and parking, and the hotel hosts weddings. Polished service and a central address complete a building that is itself one of the historic and architectural landmarks of the Greek capital.

The hotel faces Syntagma Square in central Athens, beside the Parliament building and Stadiou Street. The port of Piraeus is 10 km away and Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport 39 km, about 35 minutes by car.
