General information
Opened in May 2019, Ikos Aria spreads across 19 hectares of gardens on the south-west coast of Kos, above an 850-metre Blue Flag beach of white sand. Ahead lie the Aegean and the celebrated islet of Kastri; close by are the ruins of the Basilica of Agios Stefanos. It belongs to the multi-award-winning Ikos Resorts collection and runs on a Luxury All Inclusive basis that takes in a wide choice of premium services.
Spacious sea-view rooms, restaurants with menus by Michelin-starred chefs, nine bars, a spa, several pools, children’s and teen clubs and a full sports programme for adults make up the resort. Guests also have a concierge, car hire, laundry and dry cleaning, a private doctor and wedding arrangements to hand.
Location
The resort stands in the Kefalos area on the south-west coast of Kos, on its own beach facing the islet of Kastri. The international airport is 20 minutes away by car and Kos Town 45 minutes.
Spa
Ikos Spa works with the Parisian house Anne Semonin. Its heated indoor pool is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows onto evergreen gardens, alongside a jacuzzi and sea-view balcony, sauna, hammam, hair and nail salons, a modern gym with cardio equipment, a relaxation area, a spa boutique and eight private treatment rooms including a couples’ suite.
Sports & leisure
The grounds hold two main pools with children’s sections, an adults-only pool, the indoor spa pool, and an adult and a children’s pool reserved for the Deluxe Collection; towels, loungers and parasols are free, and drinks, cocktails and snacks are brought to sunbeds at the pool and beach. On land there are four floodlit tennis courts and a tennis academy, five-a-side football, mini basketball, beach volleyball, table tennis, darts and giant chess, plus yoga, Pilates, CrossFit, HIIT, Tabata, TRX, aqua aerobics and spin. On the water: canoes, Hobie catamarans, windsurfing, sailing and waterski academies, wakeboarding, diving, snorkelling, jet skis, flyboarding, parasailing and underwater scooters, with private yacht charters and excursions on request.
For children
A nursery takes children from 6 months to 4 years, the mini club ages 4–12 and a teen club those over 12, while the football academy coaches 4–14-year-olds. There are children’s pools, a splash park, a well-equipped outdoor playground and a playroom. Beach childcare is available, and babysitters can be booked in advance.
Restaurants & bars
Seven à la carte restaurants are led by Michelin-starred chefs and an eighth serves a buffet, all pouring from the Ikos wine collection of more than 100 labels chosen by the resort’s sommeliers. Nine bars mix cocktails indoors and in the pool gardens, and room service runs around the clock.

Swimming
The resort’s own 850-metre sandy beach holds a Blue Flag and looks out to the islet of Kastri.
Rooms
The 374 rooms, bungalows and suites are finished in light tones, with wall-to-wall windows and large balconies facing the Aegean and Mediterranean gardens. Some suite categories carry extra privileges.
Each room has air conditioning, a TV, phone, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, tea and coffee set, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and toiletries.
