About this hotel
General information
Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa is a grand hotel whose story begins in 1872, set in the middle of Baden-Baden, the World Heritage spa town on the edge of the Black Forest. It occupies its own private park along the River Oos, between the Lichtentaler Allee and the town. The hotel calls itself a city resort with an intimate feel, and that is how it reads: warm, classic interiors, rooms decorated one by one, and balconies over the parkland in most of them.
The estate takes in the main building, the historic Villa Stéphanie with the Brenners Spa & Wellbeing and further guest rooms, the standalone Parkvilla, and Villa Viardot, home to the kids’ club. Alongside the spa there is a medical centre, Brenners Medical Care, several restaurants and bars, the Brenners Boutique and nine event rooms for weddings, private celebrations and meetings.
Location
The hotel sits right on the Lichtentaler Allee in the heart of Baden-Baden, close to the town’s thermal springs, cultural venues and shops, with the forests, lakes and hills of the Black Forest beyond. Guests flying into Frankfurt Airport can have the hotel arrange Fraport’s VIP service and private terminal; a limousine transfer to and from Frankfurt Airport is included with a stay in the Parkvilla. On site there is valet parking and charging for electric cars.
Spa
Brenners Spa & Wellbeing fills the historic Villa Stéphanie in the hotel park. It has a Roman-style indoor pool, a cold plunge pool, a 500 m² sauna and steam area, a separate ladies’ spa, the Salon Jardin for hair and beauty, and treatment rooms, some with their own terrace onto the park. Skincare relies on Augustinus Bader and a house organic line built on plant-based ingredients; massages include Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Ayurvedic Abhyanga and Kiyindo Shiatsu.
Brenners Medical Care brings together classic and naturopathic medicine (including traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture), aesthetic medicine, aesthetic dentistry, physiotherapy and medical fitness. Programmes range from full check-ups to the ReLIFE Longevity Protocol, the ten-day Kings Way, seven-day detox and weight-loss courses and an orthopaedics package.
Sports & leisure
The gym is fitted with the latest Technogym equipment, Kinesis included, plus an Olympic half rack and free weights, with a personal trainer on hand, a private gym on request and an outdoor training area. A weekly programme covers walking, yoga, aqua fitness and more. Beyond the hotel the options include e-mountain biking, forest yoga, ziplines and a suspension bridge, hiking and cycling routes, horse-drawn carriage rides, outings into the Baden-Baden wine region and concerts at the Festspielhaus.
For children
Alois’ Nest, the kids’ club in Villa Viardot, welcomes children aged 3–12 for supervised play, crafts and games; it should be requested 24 hours ahead. Babysitting is available on request. The pool hosts a children’s splash hour daily from 4 to 5 pm, and family outings include a climbing park, picnics, hikes and bike tours, trips to Europa-Park and carriage rides.
Restaurants & bars
The hotel’s restaurants and bars pair regional produce with a contemporary hand, most of them with views of the park:
- Wintergarten Restaurant — contemporary international cooking and Brenners classics built on Black Forest produce, in a light-filled room with a park terrace facing the Lichtentaler Allee
- Fritz & Felix Restaurant — dishes from around the world: prime cuts, fish and inventive vegetarian and vegan plates from the charcoal grill of an open kitchen
- Fritz & Felix Bar — signature cocktails, a house-made gin, alcohol-free creations and cigars on a sunny terrace
- Oleander Bar — aperitifs, wines, cocktails and small plates, with a cigar lounge alongside
- Minerva Terrace — breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner outdoors overlooking the allee and the hotel grounds
- Le Salon — light dishes within the spa, served on the terrace in front of Villa Stéphanie
- Kaminhalle — the hotel’s fireside living room, with live music every day and an all-day menu
Brenners Afternoon Tea, with sweet and savoury pieces made in-house, is served in the Wintergarten Restaurant or the Kaminhalle.
Swimming
The indoor pool in Villa Stéphanie is filled with daylight; on warm summer days its doors open onto the private park, where guests relax on the terrace beside the River Oos. A cold plunge pool completes the pool area.
Pets
Dogs and other four-legged guests can stay in the room, and the hotel can arrange a dog sitter. Pets are not permitted in the restaurants and bars.
