About this hotel
General information
The Peninsula Paris occupies a Haussmann-style palace in the 16th arrondissement, sometimes called “the little Versailles”. The building dates from 1864, when it was built for the aristocrat Bazilevsky; in 1868 it was bought by Queen Isabella II of Spain, who spent 36 years of exile here, when it was known as the Palais de Castille. It became the Hotel Majestic in 1908 and housed government offices from 1936, before reopening as a hotel in 2014 after an extensive restoration.
Period interiors are paired with high-tech rooms and exacting service. There is a spa with a large pool, several restaurants including the Cantonese LiLi, cafés and bars, a panoramic rooftop terrace, business services, free internet, parking, a limousine service, concierge and laundry.
Location
The hotel stands on Avenue Kléber in the 16th arrondissement, close to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, with the Louvre and the city’s other landmarks within easy reach.
Spa
The spa has an indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, steam rooms, a gym, a relaxation area and modern treatment rooms, with face and body treatments that draw on Asian and European traditions.
Sports & leisure
The wellness centre has two gyms, and a personal trainer can put together an individual fitness programme.
