About this hotel
General information
Le Meurice stands on Rue de Rivoli opposite the Tuileries Garden, between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre, and carries the elegant rhythm of the 1st arrondissement — the Paris of royal balls and fashion shows, sung by painters and poets. For two centuries it has welcomed royalty from many countries, couturiers and politicians.
The 160 rooms and suites pair 18th-century architecture with modern technology, and each of the seven floors has its own character. Philippe Starck, working with his daughter Ara, reimagined the restaurants, bar and lobby, while the Valmont spa is given over entirely to relaxation. Five event rooms host from 20 to 450 guests, and there is a boutique, laundry, parking, limousine and bicycle hire, and secretarial and translation services on request.
Location
The hotel is in historic central Paris on Rue de Rivoli, a few steps from the Champs-Élysées, the Opéra, Place Vendôme and the boutiques of Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Charles de Gaulle airport is about 40 minutes away by car and Orly about 35.
Spa
Spa Valmont offers face and body programmes and Valmont wellness treatments, with a beauty salon on site.
Sports & leisure
The central address puts the main sights and fashion streets of Paris within walking distance, and bicycles can be hired for exploring the city.
For children
Children have their own menu and entertainment programmes, and babysitting is available on request.
Restaurants & bars
Le Meurice serves gastronomic haute cuisine in a Louis XVI dining room finished in silver, gold and white, with landscape paintings on the walls. Le Dalí, designed by Philippe Starck after the paintings of Salvador Dalí, offers classic and contemporary French dishes from seasonal produce in keeping with the Ducasse philosophy. Le Bar 228, with mahogany, brown leather and soft lighting, has a warm, homely feel.
Pets
Pets are welcome.
