General information
Le K2 Chogori occupies two elegant chalets in the heart of Val d’Isère and belongs to the Le K2 collection of mountain hotels founded by Philippe and Suzanne Capezzone. Chogori means “great mountain” in Balti, and Tibetan motifs run through the interiors alongside quiet, contemporary design.
Spacious rooms and multi-bedroom apartments have balconies overlooking the old village, the slopes and the Vanoise National Park. After a day on the pistes there is a spa, a pool and sauna, a South American restaurant and a cocktail bar. The hotel also has a ski shop, Wi-Fi, a concierge, laundry, underground parking and exhibitions of contemporary art.
Location
The hotel is in the centre of Val d’Isère, close to the lifts. Bourg-Saint-Maurice station is 45 minutes by road, Chambéry international airport 144 km (about two hours) and Lyon airport 220 km (about three hours).
Spa
The Goji Spa offers face and body treatments, including Swiss skincare made with Alpine herbs and glacier water.
Sports & leisure
The fitness area combines a 12-metre indoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a hammam and a well-equipped gym. The location makes skiing and other winter sports easy, and equipment can be hired on site.
For children
There is a playroom, and the hotel organises activities for children and teenagers.
Restaurants & bars
L’Altiplano, the gastronomic restaurant, cooks Peruvian and South American dishes with fresh Alpine produce. Le 1954 serves signature and classic cocktails and is the place for après-ski. Room service is available.
Skiing
The lifts and pistes are just by the hotel, which has a dedicated ski storage room.
Rooms
Rooms, suites and the penthouse were designed by Thomas Capezzone in natural wood and stone, in warm, restrained tones with a contemporary take on Tibetan motifs. Balconies look out over the Alps and the resort.
Rooms have a flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, a safe, a minibar, tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer and toiletries.
