About this hotel
General information
Le K2 Altitude is a cluster of 32 rooms and suites on a snowy slope close to the centre of Courchevel 1850. Inside and out it recalls an old mountain hamlet — stonework, slate-tiled roofs, weathered timber, carving, fireplaces and fretwork balconies with mountain views — while behind the Savoyard façade the rooms are fully up to date and the service attentive.
After skiing there is a wellness centre with a pool, sauna, gym and rooms for massage and spa treatments. The Michelin-starred restaurant serves Savoyard specialities with wines from the hotel’s own cellar, and the fireside bar rounds off the evening. There is also a library, a photographer, a sportswear boutique, a shuttle to the resort centre and laundry.
Location
The hotel is near the centre of Courchevel 1850, 25 km from the railway station, 117 km from Geneva international airport and 187 km from Lyon airport.
Spa
The wellness centre has a pool in traditional Alpine style, with stone columns, timber, a waterfall and a hydromassage area, as well as a hot tub, sauna, hammam, gym, beauty and hair salon and treatment rooms. Massages and face and body treatments use Swiss cellular skincare by La Prairie.
Sports & leisure
Winter brings downhill skiing with an instructor, cross-country skiing, snowboarding and sledging. The hotel has a room with board and video games, a DVD library and its own shop for buying or renting ski equipment.
Restaurants & bars
The dining ranges from classic French cooking to Lebanese flavours.
- L’Altitude — traditional French cuisine
- Aïnata — Lebanese-style restaurant rooted in Mediterranean culinary traditions
- Base Kamp by Aïnata — Lebanese cooking and a large terrace at the foot of the slopes
- 1856 Bar — drinks, fresh juices, fine cigars and music and art events through the season
- Le Churchill Klub — a smoking-room atmosphere for cigars and spirits
The restaurant’s sunny terrace faces the mountains, and wines come from the hotel’s cellar.

The hotel is right on the piste beside a chairlift, and each chalet has a heated boot and ski room.
