L’Apogée Courchevel

About this hotel

General information

Opened in December 2013, L’Apogée Courchevel stands among the trees at the very top of Courchevel 1850, on the site of a former Olympic ski jump, right by the pistes and a lift. Its interiors are the work of India Mahdavi and Joseph Dirand, who thought through every detail — bespoke furniture, fireplaces, Tyrolean craftsmanship and heated floors in the bathrooms and even on the balconies.

The service matches the design: a restaurant overlooking the slopes, bars for champagne and signature cocktails, a spa with pool and banya, and one of the largest children’s and teens’ clubs in the resort. Beyond the rooms and a multi-storey chalet there is a private airstrip and helipad, limousine service, concierge and laundry.

Location

The hotel is set in woodland in the upper part of Jardin Alpin, near the centre of Courchevel 1850. The altiport is 3 minutes by car; Chambéry airport is 110 km away, Geneva 150 km and Lyon Saint-Exupéry 190 km.

Spa

Le Spa de L’Apogée has a mosaic-lined indoor pool, hot tub, banya, sauna, ice plunge pool, hair salon, gym, relaxation area and six treatment rooms offering a wide choice of massages and spa treatments.

Sports & leisure

Winter means downhill skiing with instructors, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, sledging, snowshoeing, dog-sledding and mountaineering. The hotel rents skis and equipment.

For children

Mini VIP 1850 welcomes children aged 4–10 and Free Style 1850 teenagers aged 11–15. Young guests can ski with instructors, go sledging or dog-sledding and learn about Savoyard flora and fauna, and rooms are equipped for families.

Restaurants & bars

Dining centres on one restaurant and two bars.

  • Le Comptoir de L’Apogée — chef Jean-Luc Lefrançois’s cooking with views of the slopes
  • Champagne Lounge — champagnes from leading houses and small plates from truffle hot dogs to foie gras club sandwiches
  • Le Bar de L’Apogée — fireside bar for signature cocktails, light bites and evening DJ sets

In-room dining is available.

Skiing

The hotel is right on the piste beside the lifts, with a modern ski room for equipment.
