General information
Hôtel Royal stands within Evian Resort at the foot of the French Alps, on the southern shore of Lake Geneva near the town of Évian-les-Bains. Since opening in 1905 it has drawn an international elite with its exemplary service, and the views, architecture and grand interiors still carry the glamour of that era.
Life here centres on the Spa Evian Source, with thirty treatment rooms and pools. Around it are several restaurants and bars, a thoughtful programme for children of all ages and seasonal outdoor pursuits: skiing in winter, water and mountains in summer. A 900 m² business centre occupies the sixth floor, and on the ground floor the G8 conference hall seats 300 and hosted the G8 summit in 2003; weddings are also arranged. Casino Evian, one of the largest in Europe, is close by.
Location
The hotel is part of Evian Resort on the southern shore of Lake Geneva, near Évian-les-Bains and 45 km from Geneva International Airport. Helicopter transfers can be arranged, and a ferry crosses from Lausanne.
Spa
Spa Evian Source offers face and body treatments using natural products. It has 30 treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a steam room, a sauna, an aqua aerobics pool, a relaxation room, an LPG Endermolab room, a gym and fitness studios, and a hair salon.
Sports & leisure
Guests have the full range of Alpine resort activities by season. Winter brings skiing, snowboarding and dog sledding; summer brings horse riding, mountain biking, paragliding, sailing, rafting, waterskiing, canoeing and fishing. Lausanne and Geneva are close enough for culture and shopping, and Casino Evian makes for an evening out.
For children
Rooms can be equipped for children of every age, from children’s toiletries and cots to bottle warmers. The resort runs several programmes for children aged 4 months to 16 years, and once a month on a Saturday the pastry chef hosts a playful cooking class for young guests.

Swimming
The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, and the resort is home to the Evian thermal baths.
