About this hotel
General information
The Martinez has long been part of the Cannes story: its white façade on the Croisette, near the Palais des Festivals, draws festival stars every year along with travellers discovering the Riviera. Its golden book lists Gérard Depardieu, Ray Charles, Sean Connery, Laetitia Casta, Mariah Carey and Jodie Foster. In 2018 the hotel reopened after a complete renovation led by the Paris architect and designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
Bay windows, small balconies and slender-columned loggias are framed by an exotic garden of palms. Rooms are in Art Deco style, with warm tones, teak furniture made for the hotel, rich drapes and marble bathrooms. For events there are 15 meeting rooms holding up to 1,000 guests in all, and the hotel hosts weddings and honeymoon programmes.
Location
The hotel is on the Croisette, within walking distance of the Palais des Festivals and five minutes on foot from the railway station. Nice airport is 30 minutes by car.
Spa
The L. Raphael beauty spa offers relaxing treatments including its signature Oxy, a non-invasive skin therapy in which a stream of oxygen delivers active ingredients. The gym and sauna open daily, and the concierge can supply running maps for those who prefer to train outdoors.
Sports & leisure
The hotel has a heated outdoor pool, a gym and water sports such as waterskiing and surfing. Yoga classes are led by a teacher who developed his own Vinyasa Flow style.
For children
A club welcomes children aged 4–11, the restaurants have children’s menus, and babysitting is available.
