General information
Behind a bright yellow façade with delicately carved balconies, the hotel sits at the heart of Courchevel 1850’s Jardin Alpin quarter. Inside, the warmth of an Alpine chalet meets confident contemporary design: generous rooms with balconies face the mountains, and wood, leather, taffeta and velvet reinterpret Savoyard tradition.
Food is central to its reputation — Le 1947, led by Yannick Alléno, holds three Michelin stars. There is also the White restaurant and bar, a cigar lounge, a Guerlain spa with a large indoor pool, a salon by hairstylist John Nollet, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior boutiques, a ski shop, concierge and laundry.
Location
The hotel is in the Jardin Alpin area close to the centre of Courchevel 1850, 25 km from the railway station and about 2.5 hours by car from Lyon and Geneva international airports.
Spa
The Cheval Blanc Spa works with Guerlain methods and products. It has a large indoor pool with a waterfall, a cold plunge pool, a hydromassage shower, hammam, sauna, gym, Pilates studio and relaxation area, plus the Orchidée suite for couples. The hair salon operates under John Nollet, stylist to international film stars.
Sports & leisure
Winter activities include skiing with an instructor, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, sledging, curling, snowmobiling, dog-sledding, paragliding and excursions. Skis and equipment can be hired at the hotel.
For children
The Carousel kids’ club occupies a cosy cabin styled as a Mongolian yurt.

Dining revolves around the cooking of Yannick Alléno.

Guests ski straight from the door, lifts are close by, and a ski room holds equipment.
Rooms
There are 32 rooms, including suites, duplexes, an apartment and two stand-alone chalets. All have balconies or terraces with mountain views, finished in wood, leather, taffeta and velvet.
Rooms have a flat-screen TV, telephone, internet, a CD/DVD player and digital TV, with a bath, chromotherapy steam shower, TV, hairdryer and bathrobes in the bathroom.
Superior Room
A bedroom with a sitting area and a bathroom with bath and steam shower; some rooms have a balcony.
Deluxe Superior Room
A bedroom with a lounge area, dressing room, steam-shower bathroom and separate WC; rooms can connect via a private corridor.
Junior Suite
A bedroom with a large lounge, dressing room, spacious steam-shower bathroom and separate WC; suites can connect.
Deluxe Junior Suite
A bedroom with a lounge, a dining area, dressing room, guest WC and a bathroom with steam shower.
Duplex Suite
Two levels: a living room, library with desk and dressing room below, and a bedroom with bathroom above; can connect to a Superior Room.
Deluxe Duplex Suite
A two-storey suite with a living and dining room, bedroom, dressing room and a bathroom with sauna and steam shower that doubles as a private spa.
Chalet
A private four-storey ski-in, ski-out chalet with a lift: a living room with fireplace, dining room, screening room, spa treatment room, sauna and hot tub. Its three bedroom suites each have a lounge, dressing room and a bathroom with bath and steam shower.
Apartment
A duplex on the upper floors with a three-part living room, dining room, bar, kitchen, spa room, gym, a master bedroom with two daylit bathrooms and three guest bedrooms. A private lift leads to its own ski room, and a personal butler is on hand.
