About this hotel
General information
Château Les Crayères stands near the historic centre of Reims, in the heart of Champagne. Built in 1904 in the classical palatial style for the aristocratic Polignac family, it has a cream façade, graceful balconies, a mansard roof supported by statues and a round colonnaded portico. Around it lie seven hectares of parkland with manicured lawns, chestnuts, firs and maples. The interiors, in the tradition of French classicism, are by architect Pierre Rochon, and the rooms are named after noble titles for women, from “Baroness” to “Empress”.
At its heart is Le Parc, a gastronomic restaurant with three Michelin stars, and a cellar of more than 300 champagnes, rare vintages among them. A relaxed brasserie with a veranda and a bar in the park complete the picture. Few places combine fine cooking, the feel of a private palace and genuine warmth so naturally. Guests also have a meeting room, internet access, parking, concierge, laundry and dry cleaning, and weddings are hosted.
Location
The château is in Champagne, close to the centre of Reims and its railway station, 143 km from Paris.
Sports & leisure
Champagne tastings and tours of the region’s cellars are on offer, along with fishing, hunting, cycling, horse riding and tennis. An 18-hole golf course is close by.
