About this hotel
General information
The neoclassical Carlton opened in 1913 on the Croisette, at the very heart of Cannes. Its construction was funded by Grand Duke Michael of Russia, the League of Nations met in its salons, the Cannes Film Festival fills it every year, and Alfred Hitchcock filmed To Catch a Thief here with Grace Kelly and Cary Grant.
The Carlton remains the grande dame of the Riviera, with bright rooms full of Belle Époque charm, fine restaurants, a spa and a private beach club. For events there are eight rooms for up to 100 guests, including the historic 284 m² Grand Salon, outdoor spaces and a 2,000 m² Mediterranean garden. Weddings and honeymoon programmes are arranged, and guests have a business centre, Wi-Fi, parking, car hire, a limousine service, a concierge, laundry and dry cleaning.
Location
The hotel is in central Cannes on the Croisette, next to the Palais des Festivals, 1 km from the railway station and 30 km from Nice international airport.

The historic suite beneath the west-wing cupola where scenes of To Catch a Thief were shot: a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom with tub and panoramic views of the sea and the Esterel. Sleeps two.
