Byblos Saint-Tropez

About this hotel

General information

Byblos Saint-Tropez was opened in 1967 by Lebanese-born Jean-Prosper Gay-Para, who named it after the ancient city of Byblos. It quickly became a favourite of the famous: Brigitte Bardot holidayed here, and Mick Jagger proposed to his first wife, Bianca, within its walls. It has been part of Saint-Tropez’s story ever since.

Across 5,500 m² of gardens planted with palms, olive trees and jasmine, the hotel is laid out like a Provençal village — low houses with terracotta and golden façades, bright shutters and wrought-iron balconies, patios with fountains, a pool and sun terraces. The intimate mood is backed by polished service: a Sisley spa, Alain Ducasse’s Rivea and Les Caves du Roy, one of the resort’s best-known nightclubs. There is also a meeting room, boutiques, parking, a limousine service, concierge and laundry.

Location

The hotel is in the centre of Saint-Tropez, near the harbour and not far from the Pampelonne beaches. La Môle–Saint-Tropez airport is 18 km away and Nice International Airport 92 km.

Spa

Spa Byblos by Sisley has a steam room, a jacuzzi, a relaxation area and well-equipped treatment rooms, with face and body treatments using the French brand’s products and methods.

Sports & leisure

The large outdoor pool, with a sun terrace, is heated to 27 °C. There is a gym, and guests can take boat trips on the private yacht Algandra or join excursions.

For children

Children have their own heated pool.

Restaurants & bars

Rivea, Alain Ducasse’s gastronomic restaurant, draws on French and Italian traditions and is backed by a fine wine cellar. By the pool, in the shade of lemon trees, The B restaurant and bar serves light dishes, snacks, wines and cocktails.

Pets

Pets are welcome.
