Annapurna Courchevel 1850

About this hotel

General information

A traditional Alpine timber chalet with carved balconies and sloping roofs, the hotel sits on the Pralong slope of Courchevel 1850, framed by snow-covered peaks. Rooms follow the Savoyard idiom — natural wood, richly coloured fabrics, elegant furniture and mountain views — and most face south.

At its heart is a wellness centre with two pools, saunas, hammams and treatment rooms. Evenings belong to the Altitude1900 restaurant or the fireside bar with its piano. Guests also have a meeting room for 10–30 people, a ski shop, a hair salon, a lounge with billiards and board games, a TV room, a garage, laundry and a shuttle to the resort centre.

Location

The hotel is on the Pralong slope in Courchevel 1850, 1 hour 20 minutes by car from Chambéry airport, 2 hours 20 minutes from Lyon and Geneva international airports and 5 minutes from Courchevel altiport.

Spa

The wellness centre combines an indoor pool with panoramic windows and water at 30 °C, a heated outdoor pool facing the slopes, a hot tub, two saunas, two hammams and a gym. Treatment rooms offer a range of massages, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and osteopathy, and there is a hair salon and beauty salon.

Sports & leisure

Winter brings downhill and cross-country skiing on 600 km of pistes of every level, with a ski school, as well as snowboarding, sledging, skating, snowmobiles, dog-sledding and hang-gliding. The hotel’s sports shop rents skis, sledges and accessories. Indoors there is table tennis, billiards, board games and arcade machines.

For children

Younger children have a playroom and teenagers a games room with billiards and arcade machines; babysitting is available on request.

Restaurants & bars

Altitude1900 serves international cooking seasoned with spices from around the world, with tables set on the terrace on sunny days and live music once a week. The cosy bar by the fireplace is known for its signature cocktails, and the piano plays from 7 pm.

Skiing

The hotel is right on the piste, next to a lift, and has a ski room.
