About this hotel
General information
Six Senses Fiji lines a broad bay on Malolo, the largest of the Mamanuca Islands, where a white-sand beach is backed by dense native planting and the villas face west towards the water and the sunset. It is a small resort: 24 villas and suites, each with its own pool, plus residences of three to six bedrooms with kitchens for families and groups, set on the beach, on the hillside or beside the marina.
The architecture draws on traditional Fijian forms and pairs them with modern technology, while interiors keep to natural materials and quiet tones. The resort runs on Six Senses principles: solar power, rainwater collection and an organic farm that supplies the kitchens. It also protects a colony of the critically endangered Fijian crested iguana, restores the surrounding coral reefs and employs many of its hosts from the neighbouring village of Solevu. Every guest is looked after by a personal Guest Experience Maker.
Location
The resort sits on Malolo Island in the Mamanuca group, a few miles off the coast of Viti Levu and 25 km from Nadi International Airport (NAN), where the resort's team meets guests after immigration. The quickest way in is by helicopter, a 10-minute flight from Nadi Airport or Denarau. Otherwise guests drive to Port Denarau Marina and continue by speedboat, either on a scheduled shared transfer (45 minutes) or on a private boat that runs around the clock.
Spa
Six Senses Spa Fiji is set in tropical jungle and conceived as a contemporary take on a traditional Fijian village. It has four treatment bures for singles and couples, a herbal sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, waterfall showers, an outdoor relaxation area, a nail bar and a consultation room. At the Alchemy Bar guests blend their own scrubs, oils and aromatics from plants grown in the spa garden, among them aloe vera, neem, papaya, moringa, hibiscus, guava and the local medicinal herbs vevedu and vau. Signature treatments include a Fijian Bobo massage with warm herbal poultices, a sea salt, hibiscus and coconut oil body treatment, a heated lava shell massage and a biotech facial, and programmes can be shaped around a wellness screening.

For children
The Grow With Six Senses kids' club occupies a traditional Fijian wooden fort in the forest and is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Children weave bracelets and grass skirts, make coconut crafts and tie-dye T-shirts, plant trees, learn to count in Fijian, make pizza and compete in a junior cooking contest, collecting a stamp in their own Six Senses passport for each activity. Families can share surf lessons in the lagoon, snorkelling, sunset sails, island-hopping cruises, family cooking classes and junior spa treatments. Every residence comes with a complimentary nanny from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Restaurants & bars
The kitchens work with local produce, and much of the herbs and vegetables come from the resort's own garden and farm.
- Tovolea — dishes with a Pacific accent, such as kokoda (fish cured in coconut cream), overlooking the pool and the beach, with a bar for sunset cocktails
- Rara Restaurant & Bar — a different international theme every evening, from Italy to Japan, with signature cocktails, house-made tonics and marina views
- TeiTei Pizzeria & Charcoal Grill — stone-oven pizzas and charcoal-grilled dishes in the herb garden
- Ice Creamery — ice cream made in-house from local ingredients
- Gourmet Deli — a delicatessen inside Rara with cheese, fresh bakes, snacks and wine for a picnic or a meal in the villa
