General information
Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano occupies a 29-storey building within a crescent-shaped complex above the Corniche, set between the city and the Mediterranean. It works as a resort in the middle of Alexandria: a private 500-metre sandy beach in a sheltered bay, three pools, a spa and private-pool villas right on the shore, with the city's museums and older quarters a few minutes away.
Interiors follow a classic European line with a fresh Mediterranean mood – cool pastels, the colours of sea and sky, and a collection of paintings and sculpture. All 170 rooms, suites and villas open onto at least one private balcony or terrace facing the sea or the skyline. The hotel is known for family summers on its beach, Mediterranean cooking built around local fish and seafood, and quiet winter weekends by the sea.
Location
The hotel stands in San Stefano on the Corniche, in the heart of Alexandria; its beach lies across the seafront road, reached by an underground tunnel. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the city's main museums are a short drive away. Alexandria's airport is about 60 km, or roughly an hour, by car; the concierge arranges limousine transfers and meet-and-greet at the terminal.
Spa
The 14-treatment-room spa pairs contemporary therapies with rituals inspired by Egyptian traditions. Separate men's and women's relaxation lounges have whirlpools, a sauna and a steam room, with feather-cushioned sofas for unwinding. Signatures include the 1,001 Nights Sensation – an almond, honey and sesame peel, a scented salt bath and an oil massage – and The Mediterranean Breeze, combining a sea-salt scrub, a body wrap and a head massage; Hydrafacial, seasonal treatments and a lavender-and-rose bedtime ritual complete the menu.
Sports & leisure
Fitness spans three separate facilities: a mixed gym open around the clock to hotel guests, a ladies-only gym, a Kinesis studio and, in summer, a beach gym. There is also a glass-backed squash court, a tennis court, yoga, small group classes of three to five people and personal trainers. A local expert gives fishing lessons, and the chefs will cook the catch Alexandrian-style. The concierge arranges private outings to the Graeco-Roman Museum and the Roman amphitheatre, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, cultural walks through the city and a day trip to Cairo, as well as private dinners by the sea for couples.
For children
Children have Kidzandria, an outdoor play area, and a pool of their own beside the main pools. In the rooms, young guests find films, colouring books and video games.
Restaurants & bars
Restaurants and lounges are gathered around the sea and the pools, with in-room dining around the clock.

Swimming
The private 500-metre sandy beach sits in a sheltered Mediterranean bay and is open from May to October, with sun loungers and beach suites along the shore. It also has a seawater infinity pool set directly on the sand. Two more pools are in the building: a circular infinity pool on the fourth-floor terrace overlooking the sea and the Corniche (May to October), and a heated indoor pool with a whirlpool, open all year and reserved for guests aged 16 and over outside family hours.
Rooms
The hotel has 170 rooms, suites and villas: 87 guest rooms, 61 suites including 30 beach suites, and private-pool villas, with The Palace standing apart at the tip of the peninsula. Every one opens onto at least one private balcony or terrace overlooking the Mediterranean or the city.
Each room has a marble bathroom, down pillows, a safe, a minibar, satellite television, a tea and coffee maker, a hairdryer, complimentary premium Wi-Fi and twice-daily housekeeping.
Superior City-View Room
A room on floors 6–15 with a city-view balcony, a Roman-style marble bathroom and one king or two single beds; sleeps two adults and two children aged 12 or under, or three adults.
Pool Terrace Room
A bright fourth-floor room whose terrace, with a sun lounger and seating, steps straight onto the pool deck; one king or two single beds, up to three adults.
Sea-View Room
A room on floors 5–17 in soft blues and yellows, with a balcony over the Mediterranean and one king or two single beds; up to three adults.
Executive Suite
A corner suite on floors 6–17 with two balconies – a partial sea view from the living room, the city from the bedroom – a king bed, a marble bathroom and a guest powder room.
Two-Bedroom Deluxe Beach Suite
A beach suite with two bedrooms (one king, two singles), two bathrooms, a living room and a garden terrace with sun loungers, a hammock and an outdoor dining table above the beach; up to five adults.
