General information
Maslina Resort spreads across two hectares of pine forest above Maslinica Bay on the island of Hvar, close to Stari Grad. Its founder’s story began in the Far East and led him to the Dalmatian coast; the idea of a love letter to the Mediterranean became the Mindful Luxury philosophy — personal service, a natural setting, contemporary design and genuine care for families.
The architecture sits lightly in the landscape: trees were replanted and native species protected. Interiors marry Mediterranean simplicity with a French artistic sensibility — terracotta, Brač stone, brushed brass and warm local wood, left to acquire a gentle patina. A member of Relais & Châteaux, the resort has the Michelin-recommended Terra restaurant, Pharomatiq Wellness, two heated pools, a beach and private villas along the shore.
Location
The resort lies in Maslinica Bay on Hvar: the 2,400-year-old town of Stari Grad is a 20-minute coastal walk, and the Stari Grad ferry port five minutes on foot or two by car. The ferry from Split takes about two hours and the catamaran one; a helipad is 1.5 km away. The resort’s own Colnago 45 TS speedboat brings guests from Split airport or harbour in 60 minutes and from Brač in 25, and private flights can be arranged from Zagreb.
Spa
Pharomatiq Wellness takes its name from Pharos, the ancient name of Stari Grad, and from the aromatic herbs of an island known for healing stays since 1868. Programmes are built around four intentions — purify, vitality, longevity and serenity — and the menu spans traditional massages, signature rituals, Biologique Recherche facials with Skin Instant skin analysis, personal training with postural assessment and bioelectrical impedance body analysis, Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, meditation and holistic therapies.
Sports & leisure
Two heated pools sit at the centre of the resort: a large family pool with a shallow area and an infinity pool with double loungers in the shade of olive trees. The Pharomatiq Fitness Space is equipped with Nordh and Matrix. Complimentary daily activities include local wine tastings, cocktail classes, yoga and sound healing, and SUP and snorkelling are on offer. At The Club, the concierge shapes island programmes: tours of Stari Grad and ethno villages, private wine tastings, and speedboat days to the Pakleni Islands, Brač or Vis. There is also a library and an organic garden.
For children
The Playroom, with water features and a climbing wall, runs daily activities including educational programmes on local culture, overseen by a qualified assistant; children under four stay with a parent or babysitter. Babysitting is available from 15 months with 48 hours’ notice. Younger guests also have the shallow family pool, Science Kids experiments and time in the organic garden, while families can choose two- and three-bedroom suites.
Restaurants & bars
The kitchen honours its ingredients, the seasons and local producers, drawing on the UNESCO-listed Mediterranean diet.

Swimming
The resort’s beach is a dedicated sunbathing area with loungers and service beneath olives and pines, a short walk or buggy ride away. Directly below the main building, private platforms with sun loungers sit right at the water’s edge.
Rooms
Rooms, suites and villas all look out to the sea or the island; eight suites have a private heated plunge pool, and connecting rooms are available. The four- and five-bedroom villas line the shore, with professional kitchens and optional sommelier and private dining services.
Every room has a king-size bed, a loggia, a bathroom with bathtub and double stone vanities, a separate WC and paraben-free amenities made with organic ingredients and local essential oils.

A shoreline villa with five sea-view bedrooms (one with private entrance and office), a travertine terrace, a 55 m² infinity pool, Jacuzzi, fireplace, Finnish sauna and its own 40 m² gym; up to ten adults.
Maslinica Maison N52
A new villa above Maslinica Bay managed by the resort, with four bedrooms for eight, a sunny sea-view terrace, a heated pool and full access to hotel services.
