General information
Grand Park Hotel Rovinj sits on the eastern shore of Rovinj, facing the old town and the Church of St Euphemia across the water. Its six terraced floors step down towards the sea and merge with the scented Golden Cape (Zlatni rt) forest park. The interiors are by the Milan studio of Piero Lissoni – earthy tones, natural materials and Mediterranean planting on the balconies – and a number of rooms and suites come with private pools.
Part of the Maistra Collection, the hotel was named among The World’s 50 Best Hotels in 2025. It is home to two Michelin-starred restaurants, Agli Amici Rovinj and Cap Aureo, the Albaro Wellness & Spa covering more than 3,800 m², and sea-view conference rooms. Right alongside runs the Lungomare Plaza promenade, lined with boutiques and concept stores from over 200 international and Croatian brands.
Location
The hotel stands at the entrance to the Golden Cape forest park in Rovinj, on the west coast of Istria: 20 m from the harbour, 150 m from the beach and about 800 m from the heart of the old town. The nearest airport is Pula (38 km, around 40 minutes by car); Trieste is 107 km away, Ljubljana 192 km and Venice 248 km. Private transfers can be arranged, and there is a garage with valet parking.
Spa
Albaro Wellness & Spa spreads over more than 3,800 m² and takes its cue from Istrian traditions and the spirit of sailing. The thermal area includes a Finnish sauna, an outdoor forest banya, a mastic-scented sauna, two steam rooms, cold plunge pools and an ice fountain, alongside treatment rooms, a sun terrace and a Mediterranean garden. Signature rituals draw on local themes: an olive-oil massage, an aromatherapy ritual inspired by the herbal liqueur pelinkovac, and a hemp-balm massage echoing the rowing strokes of Rovinj’s traditional batana boat. Products are by Omorovicza and Biologique Recherche.
Sports & leisure
On the fifth floor a 50-metre pool runs from indoors to outdoors, next to a 24-hour gym with cardio and strength equipment and personal training on request. The tennis centre, 900 m from the hotel, has eight outdoor and four indoor courts, a tennis school and a bowling alley. Bicycles are complimentary for rides through the Golden Cape and out among vineyards and olive groves; e-bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, yoga, a recreation programme, yacht charters and a limousine service are also available. The hotel curates private Istrian experiences too, from dinner in the Pula Arena and hot-air balloon flights to sunset speedboat trips around the archipelago with dolphin watching.
For children
The MaiSky Kids Club welcomes children aged 4–12, and the hotel has a dedicated kids’ zone. Connecting rooms with two bedrooms and two bathrooms suit families, and baby cots are provided free of charge on request.

Swimming
There are three freshwater pools: a panoramic infinity pool, a 258 m² sports pool and a shallow relaxation pool. Directly opposite, St Catherine Island has a pebble beach with complimentary loungers and parasols, changing rooms, showers and kayak and paddleboard hire, reached by a free boat from Delfin Pier. Lovor Beach lies 1.5 km away in the Golden Cape forest park, and Dolce Vita Beach sits beyond the marina along the promenade, looking towards Lone Bay.
Pets
Pets are welcome for an additional charge, though not in the pool areas, on the beaches or in the restaurants and bars.
Rooms
There are 209 rooms and suites, dressed by Studio Lissoni in a restrained Mediterranean palette. Every one has a generous balcony or terrace, and the upper categories add private plunge pools.
Each room has a bathtub and walk-in rain shower, air conditioning, a smart TV, free Wi-Fi, a safe, an espresso machine and kettle, a minibar and 24-hour room service.
Premium Park View Room
A king-size or twin beds, a bathroom with separate shower and a balcony planted with Mediterranean greenery overlooking the park. Up to two adults and a child under 16.
Premium Sea View Room
A king-size or twin beds and a balcony facing the sea and the old town. Up to two adults and a child under 16.
Deluxe Sea View Room
A first-floor room with sea views and a private plunge pool in front of the balcony. For two guests.
Grand Marina View Room
A king-size bed, a sitting area and an intimate balcony with loungers overlooking the marina. Up to two adults and a child under 16.
Grand Sea View Room
A separate living room and bedroom with king-size bed, a bathroom with rain shower and a large balcony with loungers facing the sea and old Rovinj. Up to two adults and a child under 16.
Connecting Park View Room
Two rooms linked by a hallway, one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds, with two bathrooms and two park-view balconies. Up to four guests.
Connecting Sea View Room
Two connected rooms with two bathrooms and two sea-view balconies. For two adults and two children, or one adult and three children.
Hideaway Duplex Suite
A two-level suite with floor-to-ceiling windows: a living and dining room upstairs, and below a king-size bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, bathroom and a patio with garden and plunge pool. For two guests.
Horizon Deluxe Suite
A king-size bedroom and a living room with dining table in warm, natural tones, with the forest park on one side and St Catherine Island on the other. Up to three guests.
Island Deluxe Suite
A corner suite in the left wing with floor-to-ceiling windows, a living room seating six and wrap-around balconies with a private plunge pool. Up to three guests.
Sunset Signature Suite
A suite with a living room for eight, an 18 m² bathroom and a balcony with loungers and a private pool for watching the sunset, plus its own garage. Adjoining rooms can be added to form a private 300 m² wing; up to three guests.
Rovinj Signature Suite
The hotel’s largest suite, over two levels: a living room, kitchen and six-seat dining table above, a bedroom, 18 m² bathroom and patio with loungers and plunge pool below, with a 180° view of old Rovinj. Up to three guests.
Premium Accessible Park View Room
An adapted room with a king-size bed, a spacious bathroom and a furnished terrace overlooking the park. Up to two adults and a child under 16.
