About this hotel
General information
Upper House Hong Kong occupies the top of a tower above the Pacific Place complex in Admiralty and behaves more like a private residence than a conventional grand hotel. There are just 117 rooms, each facing either Victoria Harbour or the city and the green slopes of Hong Kong Island. Interiors lean on natural materials — limestone, warm timber, a restrained palette — and the whole house is organised around the idea of an upward journey, from the busy street to calm at height.
A stone-curtain façade frames the entrance, and the lobbies and corridors are punctuated by smooth monolithic sculptures and contemporary art. Level 49 holds Salisterra and the Green Room bar, while a hidden garden, The Lawn, sits on the sixth floor. Instead of a conventional spa, the hotel offers in-room treatments, a 24-hour gym and wellness residencies run by partners, and it runs an energy, water and waste-reduction programme.
Location
The address is Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, in Admiralty: the tower rises directly above the Admiralty interchange, with direct links to the MTR and the tram, Hong Kong Park on the doorstep and Central a few minutes away. Hong Kong International Airport is about 35 km off; the hotel's own BMW cars make the transfer in roughly 30 minutes. Alternatively, the Airport Express reaches Hong Kong Station in around 25 minutes, and Admiralty is one MTR stop from there.
Spa
There is no stand-alone spa; treatments come to the room. The menu covers body massages, including a signature aromatherapy massage, a detoxifying organic facial, wellness therapies, nail care and styling, all with Bamford organic products — best followed by a soak in the room's limestone tub. Partner residencies add modern Traditional Chinese Medicine, chiropractic care and crystal energy sessions, along with dedicated spaces for tea ritual and sound sessions with a large gong and crystal bowls.
Sports & leisure
The gym is open around the clock, with Technogym equipment, free weights and a personal trainer on request, and every room has a yoga mat. Residencies include hot sculpt classes on the mat in infrared heat and evidence-based longevity therapies. The Sky Lounge on Level 49, with an open fireplace and four-metre ceilings, hosts exhibitions, dinners and the intimate Up Close talk series, while The Lawn stages open-air film nights. Chauffeured cars can be arranged for getting around the city.
Restaurants & bars
The main venues sit on Level 49 with views over Victoria Harbour; one more is set in a garden on the sixth floor.
- Salisterra — modern Mediterranean cooking, wine and cocktails, with a weekend brunch
- Chef's Room — a culinary studio within Salisterra's private dining space, hosting short residencies by visiting chefs
- Green Room — an intimate cocktail lounge on Level 49 with harbour sunsets and DJ sets on Fridays
- The Tea Room — a relaxed daytime spot for coffee, tea and light bites from homegrown Hong Kong brands
- The Lawn — a garden bar on the sixth floor with lawns, flowerbeds and loungers for picnic-style cocktails, small plates and wine
