About this hotel
General information
Xi’an served as capital to thirteen imperial dynasties, and today the Terracotta Army, the Ming-era walls and a busy technology scene all share the same city. The Ritz-Carlton, Xi’an sits in the central business district and draws on both sides of that character: its 283 rooms and suites, all with views across Xi’an, are contemporary in feel – clean lines, a calm palette – with details that nod to the city’s architecture and history.
There are three restaurants, a lounge in the lobby and Flair, an open-air rooftop bar with a 180-degree view over the city. The whole fifth floor belongs to the spa, with its zen gardens and indoor pool, and guests in Club rooms and suites have a Club Lounge with a terrace on a private-access floor, where food is served through the day. More than 2,800 m² of function space covers meetings and celebrations.
Location
The address is 50 Keji 2nd Road, in Xi’an’s central business district. Ganjiazhai metro station, the city bus station and both Xi’an and Xi’an North railway stations are within easy reach. Xi’an Xianyang International Airport is 36.4 km away. There is no hotel shuttle; on request the hotel books seats on the airport bus or arranges a private car, limousine or van.
Spa
The Ritz-Carlton Spa takes up the entire fifth floor, with a couples’ suite with its own balcony, zen gardens, relaxation lounges, a sauna, steam room, whirlpool and the indoor pool. Therapists pair classic techniques with local touches across scrubs and wraps, facials, eye and lip treatments, scalp massage, men’s treatments, foot baths and in-room massage. The 80-minute Indulgence of Time moves from a body exfoliation and a marine-algae or mud wrap to a petal bath and an aromatherapy massage; the 120-minute Silk Serenity is a Swedish massage with Silk Road oils of black pepper, ginger and sandalwood.
Sports & leisure
The fitness centre is open around the clock, with Technogym cardio machines, exercise bikes, strength stations and free weights, plus multi-purpose studios, group classes and fitness consultations. The hotel has put together six city itineraries lasting from three hours to three days, and the city wall is best explored by bicycle. Close by are the Big and Small Wild Goose Pagodas, the Shaanxi History Museum, the Bell and Drum Towers, the Beilin Museum, the Tang City Wall Ruins Park and the Wooden Pagoda Temple Ruins Park. Golfers have two 18-hole courses: Xi'an International Golf Club, 18.6 km away, and Yajian International Golf Club, 27.9 km.
For children
The Ritz Kids programme starts with a dedicated check-in for young guests, and Ritz Kids Safari Night turns the room into a campsite, with tents set up for a night indoors. A children’s pool sits beside the indoor pool.
Restaurants & bars
Dining runs from Cantonese cooking and Japanese teppanyaki to Asian small plates on the roof, and in-room dining is available around the clock.
- Xian Kitchen – all-day restaurant with local and international dishes, buffets and an à la carte menu, and an outdoor terrace
- Jing Xuan – refined Cantonese cuisine with local influences, and eight private dining rooms
- Tasuro – teppanyaki and premium meats, cooked to order at six live stations
- Flair – rooftop bar and restaurant reached by its own lift, with 180-degree views, signature cocktails, a sushi counter and Southeast Asian tapas
- Lobby Lounge – light dishes, pastries, cakes and afternoon tea
