Rosewood Guangzhou

About this hotel

General information

Rosewood Guangzhou occupies the upper floors of one of the city’s tallest towers, in the Tianhe business district. Rooms and suites sit between the 96th and 106th floors, the Rosewood Residences lie lower down on floors 68 to 91, and a bar on the 107th floor tops it all. The outlook takes in the Pearl River, its delta and the Canton Tower.

The interiors read southern Chinese heritage in a contemporary key – bronze, vermilion and silk, wood and marble, with curated art and books in the rooms. The hotel is conceived as a vertical retreat for slow city living: seven restaurants and bars, the Asaya Active wellness centre and a pool on the 94th floor. Suites come with butler service, and kitchen-equipped residences with their own entrance suit longer stays.

Location

The hotel stands in the Tianhe business district, six to eight minutes’ walk from two metro stations. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is about 45 minutes by car, Guangzhou East railway station about 18 minutes, Guangzhou South about 32 minutes and the Canton Fair Complex about 15 minutes.

Spa

Asaya Active pairs spa treatments with consultations, nutrition, physical therapy and community workshops. Facilities include vitality pools, cold plunge pools, salt rooms, Pilates and movement studios and a relaxation lounge. Treatments cover physical therapies, skin health and emotional balance; the signature Tai Ji Massage opens with a foot-cleansing ritual, followed by pressure-point massage with a warm compress of Chinese herbs and foot reflexology.

Sports & leisure

The 300 m² fitness centre on the 93rd floor is open around the clock. The movement studio hosts group yoga, Pilates, meditation, dance and barre, alongside private yoga, machine Pilates, personal training, functional fitness analysis and body composition testing. Beyond the tower, the hotel arranges a day among Guangzhou’s cultural landmarks, an old-to-new cycling tour of the city, an art route through local studios led by curators, and flower workshops.

For children

Young guests have the Rosewood Explorer programme, and a dedicated children’s pool sits beside the main pool on the 94th floor.

Restaurants & bars

Seven restaurants and bars run from Cantonese classics to Japanese grills, with in-room dining around the clock.

  • Lingnan House – Cantonese cooking: dim sum and Guangdong classics, open kitchens, a wine cellar and semi-private dining
  • Black Iron – contemporary Japanese with teppanyaki grills, a sushi station, sukiyaki, sashimi and a cocktail and sake bar
  • Patina European Brasserie & Terrace – European brasserie with seafood and a terrace, also serving breakfast
  • Brick Lane – bar with its own brewery, wine list, hibachi grill, large terrace and live music
  • Too High – open-air bar on the 107th floor with city panoramas, single malts, rare rums, mezcal and Cognacs, plus live performances
  • The Butterfly Room – lobby lounge for afternoon tea
  • Butterfly Patisserie – French pastries, chocolates and desserts
Swimming

The 25-metre indoor pool on the 94th floor is filled with natural light and looks out over Tianhe. Alongside are a children’s pool, a whirlpool and cabanas with drinks and light snacks.
