About this hotel
General information
Bvlgari Hotel Beijing was conceived as an urban resort. It sits in the capital's Embassy District on the banks of the Liangma River, within the landscaped grounds of the Genesis Beijing complex, with an art gallery as its neighbour. A limestone façade with bronze-framed windows gives it the look of a private residence rather than a hotel, while the interiors follow the house style first set by the brand's Milan hotel: black granite, white travertine, marble baths, rich textiles, Italian furniture and Dolce Vita-era photographs from the Bvlgari archive.
There are 119 rooms and suites, an Italian restaurant, a bar with a riverside terrace, a fireside lounge for afternoon tea and a 1,500 m² spa with a 25-metre pool. The riverside gardens are planted with centuries-old pines. Service is deliberately personal, from in-room check-in and packing and unpacking to shoe shining and a round-the-clock personal butler.
Location
The hotel stands in the Embassy District of Chaoyang, on the Liangma River, as part of the Genesis Beijing complex of office towers, shops and a gallery. The boutiques, restaurants and galleries of Sanlitun are close by, the 798 Art District is under 20 minutes by car, and the hotel's limousines take guests to the Lama Temple and the Forbidden City. Beijing Capital International Airport is about 30 minutes away by car; a hotel limousine can be reserved in advance, there is a metro station nearby and parking on site.
Spa
The Bvlgari Spa spreads over two floors and 1,500 m², with 11 treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, a steam room and sauna, a refreshment bar, a wellness boutique and a 25-metre heated indoor pool. Face and body treatments blend an Italian approach with traditional Chinese techniques, with results-driven programmes alongside rituals drawn from regional wellbeing traditions.
Sports & leisure
The Bvlgari Gymnasivm is open around the clock to hotel guests, with Technogym and Kinesis equipment, a separate movement studio, Pilates, and a private fitness assessment using digital testing that leads to a personal training plan; a library of on-demand workouts can be streamed in the room. In the warmer months yoga classes are held outdoors in the garden, and the hotel also offers tai chi and tea ceremonies, complimentary MomoDesign bicycles for exploring the city, a jogging map and early-morning runs through Beijing with the hotel's general manager.
- a walk along the Jiuyanlou section of the Great Wall;
- a tour of Wudaoying Hutong, with its cafés and artisan workshops near the Lama Temple;
- hands-on workshops in pasta-making at the restaurant and classic Italian cocktails at the bar;
- City of Wonders, a one- to three-day treasure hunt: a passport of sealed clues leads from sunrise tai chi in the hotel garden and a Great Wall hike to the city's oldest streets and a series of culinary challenges.
Restaurants & bars
Dining here is Italian throughout, from a restaurant overlooking the park to a pastry boutique of the hotel's own.
- Il Ristorante — contemporary Italian cooking built on simplicity and purity of flavour, in a 70-seat dining room with park views; breakfast and Sunday brunch are also served here;
- The Bvlgari Bar — cocktails, wine and champagne at the signature oval bar or on the riverside terrace, and the setting for the Italian aperitivo hour;
- The Bvlgari Lounge — a lofty space with windows onto a bamboo alley, where afternoon tea with Italian pastries is served by the fire;
- Il Giardino — the riverside garden, with Il Gazebo for garden lunches, sunset aperitivo and private dinners;
- Bvlgari Dolci — a pastry boutique with the La Pasticceria collection and fine chocolates;
- 24-hour in-room dining.
Swimming
The 25-metre heated indoor pool, laid with mosaics inspired by the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome, is part of the spa and open to guests daily from early morning until late evening.
