About this hotel
General information
The Ritz-Carlton, Santiago sits at the centre of El Golf, one of the most sought-after quarters of Las Condes, and is as close to the Pacific beaches as it is to the ski slopes of the Andes. The streets around it are lined with boutiques, restaurants and offices of the Chilean capital, and the upper floors look out over the city to the snow-capped peaks beyond.
Its 205 rooms and suites are designed in a style that draws on Pre-Columbian craftsmanship, with patterns and textures taken from Chile’s landscapes. The Club Lounge occupies the tenth floor, while the top of the building holds a spa with an indoor pool beneath a glass dome and a fitness centre facing the Andes. Food and drink lean on Chilean tradition: New Chilean cuisine at Estró, a pisco menu at the bar and regional coffees at Café Ritual. The hotel holds Chile’s Sello S sustainable-tourism certification.
Location
The hotel stands at El Alcalde 15 in El Golf, Las Condes, close to El Golf metro station. Santiago’s international airport (SCL) is about 25 km away, and the hotel arranges transfers. The beaches of Viña del Mar are around 122 km away, with the Andean ski resorts at a similar distance in the other direction.
Spa
The Ritz-Carlton Spa fills the upper floors, with treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam bath, a whirlpool, separate lounges for men and women and its own café serving healthy food and drinks. Spa guests use the indoor pool beneath a glass dome, which opens onto an outdoor terrace overlooking Santiago. The menu covers therapeutic massages, facials and body treatments built on natural, largely local ingredients, and each skincare treatment begins with a skin assessment. Treatments are for guests aged 18 and over.
Sports & leisure
The fitness centre, around 690 m² with floor-to-ceiling windows towards the Andes and the city, has cardio machines, free weights, strength stations, locker rooms, a sauna and steam rooms, and opens daily from early morning to evening. The concierge plans tailored itineraries around Chile, and close to the hotel there are:
- the Los Leones (4.3 km) and Sport Francés (5.5 km) golf clubs
- winery visits to Concha y Toro, Santa Rita and Cousiño Macul
- Parque Araucano (3.8 km) and Cerro San Cristóbal (7.9 km)
- the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and the Plaza de Armas in the historic centre
- a city tour on the Turistik hop-on hop-off bus
For children
The Ritz Kids programme for ages 4–12 includes a children’s check-in, arts and crafts, colouring, a dedicated menu and small treats. A room sleeps two adults and two children or three adults and one child, and cots are available on request. Children may join their parents in the spa, though the gym, sauna, steam room and whirlpool are not meant for them.
Restaurants & bars
Each of the hotel’s three venues tells part of Chile’s story, and in-room dining runs around the clock.
- Estró — New Chilean cuisine from farm-sourced produce, a journey through the country from north to south; breakfast, lunch and dinner, an executive lunch menu on weekdays and a Sunday brunch with sparkling wine and pisco sours
- Café Ritual — a coffee house serving hand-roasted beans from Central and South America with sandwiches, salads and freshly baked cakes; open on weekdays
- The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lobby Lounge — an intimate bar for wine, whisky and signature cocktails, with a menu devoted to pisco and live music in the evenings
