About this hotel
General information
The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa sits right on Seven Mile Beach, midway along the west coast of Grand Cayman. The resort has around 210 metres of white sand to itself, and its pool, bars and terraces are set among palms and casuarina trees a few steps from the water. Days revolve around the sea: beach yoga and paddleboard lessons in the morning, snorkelling and diving later on, and dinner at a table on the sand in the evening.
The interiors take a loose, abstract reading of the ocean as their starting point, with a light palette, flowing lines and a restrained coastal style finished with Caymanian touches. As at other Westin hotels, wellbeing is a theme throughout, from Heavenly beds to a fitness studio that never closes and daily meditation and water-fitness sessions. For events there are two ballrooms with about 820 m² of space in total, one of them with floor-to-ceiling windows onto the Caribbean Sea, while ceremonies take place on the lawn or barefoot on the beach.
Location
The hotel stands in the middle of Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman’s west coast, a few minutes from Camana Bay with its restaurants, shops and weekly farmers’ and artisans’ market. The international airport in George Town, the islands’ capital, is roughly 7 km away. There is no hotel shuttle, but a private car can be arranged with 48 hours’ notice; a car rental desk is on site and a public bus stop is nearby.
Spa
Hibiscus Spa covers about 650 m² close to the beach, with thirteen treatment rooms, two steam rooms and two saunas, a women’s whirlpool, Vichy showers and separate lounges for men and women. Treatments include massages, facials, body scrubs and wraps, manicures and pedicures, as well as massages in the room. The spa is open daily from 8am to 6pm, by appointment.
Sports & leisure
The WestinWORKOUT fitness studio is open around the clock, and kits of training and recovery gear can be borrowed for the length of a stay. The daily programme runs to sunrise beach yoga, meditation, F45 full-body classes, water aerobics and stand-up paddleboard clinics. Red Sail Sports has a water-sports centre on the property, offering dives on the reef walls and the wreck of the Kittiwake, snorkelling, kayaks, sailing, jet skis and parasailing over the sea. It also books trips further afield: the Atlantis submarine, the Nautilus semi-submersible with its underwater viewing windows, and a sunset dinner cruise. Snorkelling gear and underwater cameras are available to guests.
For children
The resort’s daily schedule includes scavenger hunts for children, with family game nights and s’mores by the fire in the evening; some activities need booking 24 hours ahead.

The resort has seven restaurants and cafés plus several bars, most of them by the beach or the pool, and room service is available.

Swimming
The resort opens directly onto Seven Mile Beach, a stretch of white sand and clear turquoise water shaded by casuarinas, where the sea stays around 27 °C even in winter. Right by the sand is a large freshwater pool with a swim-up bar, two hot tubs, loungers and towels. Cabanas can be hired on the beach and around the pool, and floating loungers are provided for drifting on the water.
Pets
Pets are welcome: one per room, up to 18 kg, subject to the islands’ government rules on bringing animals in. Service animals are welcome without a fee or paperwork.
