About this hotel
General information
Park Hyatt Siem Reap is a town-centre hotel where Khmer motifs meet Art Deco polish. Its heart is a quiet courtyard shaded by an old banyan tree: breakfast is served there each morning alongside local craft stations, a candle-lighting ceremony of gratitude marks dusk, and in the evening tables are laid beneath the tree for a dinner with Apsara dance.
There are 104 rooms, 13 of them suites, several with their own garden or private pool, finished in Italian marble, hand-selected wood and fine Khmer detailing. Two pools, a spa built around Khmer rituals, several restaurants and a bar complete the picture, along with guided journeys through the temples of Angkor, from the classic circuit to lesser-trodden paths.
Location
The hotel sits in the middle of Siem Reap, about 500 m from the Old Market and the night market, under 300 m from the Kandal Village arts quarter and around 6 km from the Angkor Archaeological Park. Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport is roughly 50 km away, about an hour by road; the concierge arranges transfers with an English-speaking chauffeur and a choice of vehicles.
Spa
The spa is a calm urban retreat with single and couples' treatment rooms. Its menu pairs traditional Khmer beauty rituals with natural, locally sourced botanicals: relaxing massages, Cambodian-inspired cleansing rituals, scrubs, wraps and facials, plus foot massages by either pool. Body & Mind sessions add movement, breathwork and mindfulness, including sunrise classes.
Sports & leisure
There is a fitness centre and two pools. Angkor is the main draw, and the hotel runs guided outings such as sunrise over Angkor Wat, the Soul of Siem Reap route through Angkor Wat, the Bayon and Ta Prohm, and a day to the outlying temples of Beng Mealea and Banteay Srei.
- a Cambodian cooking class with a local market visit, and Taste of Cambodia, which adds a clay workshop, a countryside visit and a home-cooked meal
- The Art of Khmer Pottery, a hands-on workshop with local artisans
- The Sacred Blessing: a visit to a Buddhist pagoda, morning alms-giving with monks and a private water blessing
- nearby, an 18-hole golf course (about 4 km) and Phnom Kulen National Park, with jungle trails, riverbed carvings and waterfalls (about 45 km)
