General information
Stannum is a contemporary boutique hotel in San Jorge, in central La Paz. It occupies the upper floors of a city tower, so the windows take in the sweep of La Paz and the mountains around it, with Illimani in view from some of the rooms. There are 39 rooms and a suite, all in a restrained, modern style.
The hotel balances the city’s pace with calm: the Terra restaurant, the Ignis bar on the twelfth floor, a coffee shop, a small spa and a gym, a quiet reading room and a gift shop. For business and private occasions the METALLUM Business & Convention Center has four halls, the largest of 300 m² for up to 200 guests, and the hotel also hosts weddings and banquets with its own catering service. Parking is free, and valet service is offered.
Location
The hotel stands in San Jorge, a few steps from the business and cultural heart of La Paz, close to embassies, restaurants and entertainment. The white and light-blue lines of the Mi Teleférico cable car stop a minute’s walk away, their cabins looking out over the city and Illimani. Nearby is Calle Jaén, a cobbled colonial street of colourful façades and the Museum of Musical Instruments, while the eroded rock formations of the Valle de la Luna lie 10 km from the city centre. El Alto International Airport is 9 km away, about 25 minutes by car; airport transfers can be arranged on request.

The 39 rooms and the Junior Suite suit business and leisure stays alike; the Premium categories look out over the city or towards Illimani.
Every room has a work desk, a 40-inch LED TV, a telephone, air conditioning and heating, a digital safe, complimentary Wi-Fi, a rain shower, toiletries, a hairdryer and a bathrobe.
