Rosewood Bermuda

About this hotel

General information

Rosewood Bermuda rises above the turquoise shallows of Castle Harbour at Tucker's Point, on the eastern side of Bermuda. Its 88 rooms and suites — 68 rooms and 20 suites — are set in the Manor House and three separate buildings facing the water, within green grounds that take in an 18-hole golf course, a tennis centre, several pools and a beach club on a private pink-sand beach.

The resort leans into the island's culture and landscape: it stages Gombey dance performances, guided visits to old forts and churches and artist-in-residence programmes, and works with the Masterworks Museum. The kitchens start from the daily catch and island plants such as loquat, Surinam cherry and Bermuda cedar, with foraging walks and cocktail classes for guests who want to go further. Small pets are welcome.

Location

The resort sits on Tucker's Point in Hamilton Parish, between Castle Harbour and Harrington Sound. Bermuda's international airport is about 15 minutes away by car; the concierge arranges transfers in advance, and there is a taxi stand at the hotel. Rental cars are not available in Bermuda, so the concierge can set guests up with two-seater electric cars for exploring the island, as well as island tours.

Spa

Sense, A Rosewood Spa works with the skincare brand 111SKIN, offering facials, massages built on aromatic plant extracts and oil blends from around the world, and finishing add-ons. The signature Whispers of the Earth ritual runs for 150 minutes, pairing an energy-balancing massage with a crystal facial. A reflection pool beside the spa is set aside for quiet lounging. Spa areas are for guests aged 16 and over; children may book treatments by appointment only, accompanied by an adult.

Sports & leisure

The 18-hole Tucker's Point Club course runs along the ocean and is reserved for club members and resort guests, with a clubhouse, a driving range with complimentary balls and a weekly golf clinic. The tennis centre has four Har-Tru clay courts, a pro shop and locker rooms, with clinics in tennis, pickleball and padel and private lessons; courts and equipment are complimentary for guests. The watersports centre lends paddleboards and sea kayaks free of charge, and USAIL gives sailing lessons on Castle Harbour. In summer the 32-foot catamaran The Castaway sets out on complimentary snorkelling cruises, and from September to April it can be chartered privately. Guests can also snorkel or paddle over living reefs, join the Hidden Gems Tour to the island's lesser-known corners, taste local rums including Goslings, or play croquet and table tennis. The fitness centre has cardio machines, free weights and resistance equipment, with personal coaches on hand.

For children

The Rosewood Explorers Club welcomes children aged 5–12 from Monday to Friday, taking small groups on themed adventures into Bermuda's heritage, nature and art, with creative projects, STEAM activities, outdoor and water play and a quiet hour to rest. Young players can join the Junior Tennis Academy and Junior Golf Academy, the Art Detective programme sends children exploring artworks at the Masterworks Museum, and every Friday family films are screened outdoors at The Breezeway. The Fountain Pool is a family pool for younger swimmers.

Restaurants & bars

Six restaurants and bars, plus dining for special occasions:

  • Island Brasserie — the signature restaurant, a modern steakhouse with prime cuts, local seafood and desserts; breakfast, lunch and dinner daily
  • Sul Verde — Italian cooking with handmade pasta, house-baked bread and sausages, and wood-fired pizza
  • The Grille Room — relaxed spot beside Sul Verde for classic pub dishes and grills
  • Mirador — waterfront restaurant and bar with ocean views, Mexican-inspired coastal plates and Patrón tequila cocktails, some from the resort's own barrel; for guests and club members only
  • Beach Club Restaurant — seasonal beach club restaurant for guests and members, serving seafood, sushi and barbecue
  • Tucker's Bar — next to Island Brasserie, with craft cocktails, Bermuda classics such as the Rum Swizzle, rum tastings and lunch
  • Conservatory Bar — afternoon tea overlooking Castle Harbour, including a cocktail-led Tipsy Afternoon Tea, gin cocktails and live music

Food is also served by the pools and at the spa, in-room dining runs from breakfast to late night, and a Chef's Table dinner can be arranged in the resort's garden.

Swimming

The resort's beach club sits on its own private pink-sand beach, a few minutes by shuttle from the Manor House; it opens seasonally, mainly in summer, and is home to the Horizon Pool, an infinity pool for guests aged 13 and over. The Palm Court Pool looks over Harrington Sound, has poolside service and is heated from October to May, while the Castle Harbour Pool, for guests aged 16 and over, has a lap lane and views across the harbour. The Fountain Pool is a family pool designed for children.

Pets

Pets up to 25 lb (about 11 kg) are welcome, one per room; owners sign a pet policy waiver before check-in, and pets must be kept on a leash at all times.

The 88 rooms and suites are spread between the Manor House and three separate buildings above Castle Harbour; nearly all have a balcony or terrace facing the water, and some can be connected to form one- or two-bedroom suites.
