About this hotel
General information
Steigenberger Icon Wiltcher's sits on Avenue Louise, the most prestigious address in Brussels, lined with boutiques and restaurants. The group reserves the Steigenberger Icon name for its most storied addresses, and this is one of them: a historic building, classic interiors in fine woods and service at five-star Superior level.
There are 267 rooms and suites, ranging from generous 45 m² rooms to two-level duplexes and a Royal Suite with its own fireplace. Daily life gathers around Loui Restaurant and the Loui Cocktail Bar, a quiet courtyard terrace and a library that draws locals as much as guests. Reception, room service and the gym run around the clock, and the Aspria club with its spa and pool lies directly below the hotel. Thirteen rooms host meetings and events for up to 600 guests.
Location
The hotel stands at 71 Avenue Louise, among fashion boutiques and restaurants, with a tram stop close by and the Grand-Place within walking distance. Brussels Airport is 17.4 km away and easily reached by taxi. A public car park next door has direct access to the building (fee applies).
Spa
Aspria Spa is a separate club directly beneath the hotel, reached by the hotel lifts. It has a swimming pool, a whirlpool, a steam bath, a sauna, a beauty salon and a fitness room. Entry is not included in the room rate and is paid separately, with a single pass valid until noon the following day; the pool must be booked in advance, and the Aspria spa, pool and gym are open to guests aged 18 and over only.
Sports & leisure
The hotel's own gym on the first floor is open 24 hours a day and unlocked with the room key, with treadmills, exercise bikes, climbers, arm and leg machines and a kettlebell area; towels and water are provided free of charge. For swimming and group classes there is the Aspria club below. The hotel makes an easy base for exploring Brussels on foot: Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture, the Grand-Place, the Atomium, the Mont des Arts with its view over the city, the Belgian Comic Strip Center and the Royal Museums of Fine Arts, as well as Belgian beer, waffles and chocolate.
Restaurants & bars
Dining centres on the Loui restaurant and bar, and room service brings regional and international dishes to the room around the clock.
- Loui Restaurant — bistronomy: international cooking with a Belgian accent built on seasonal produce, a considered wine list and private dining rooms
- Loui Cocktail Bar — handcrafted cocktails, a chosen wine list and finger food given a local twist
- The Terrace — a leafy courtyard terrace for light bites, daily specials and a glass of Champagne
- Café Wiltcher's — a light-filled café serving a generous breakfast buffet
- The library — a cosy lounge for a drink after a day in the city
