Hotel Dukes' Palace occupies a 15th-century palace on a quiet square at the heart of Bruges, within the UNESCO-listed historic centre. It is a five-star hotel of 135 rooms and suites and belongs to Dukes' Hotel Collection, a Bruges hotel group.
Rooms are spread across several parts of the estate: the historic palace wing with original frescoes, high ceilings and wooden floors, a contemporary pavilion standing in the garden, and a former chapel now holding split-level family rooms. The real luxury is the 3,000 m² garden, a rare open space in the tightly built medieval city. There is a restaurant, a bar with a terrace, a spa with a gym, a 632 m² conference centre and an underground garage.
Location
The hotel sits on a quiet square in the historic centre of Bruges, next to one of the main shopping streets; the Markt is close by, with a bus stop there 400 m from the hotel, and the railway station is about 1.5 km off. The nearest airport is Ostend (around 30 km), with Brussels Airport about 110 km away. Guests have an underground car park entered from the rear of the building, plus valet parking.
Spa
The Spa is a quiet retreat within the palace's historic walls, reserved for hotel guests and booked in advance. It has a sauna, a bio sauna, a sun shower, a Himalayan salt wall and UV and infrared panels. Private massage cabins offer relaxing body massages and hot-and-cold lava stone treatments.
Sports & leisure
The hotel gym, with cardio and strength equipment, looks out onto a small inner courtyard. The 3,000 m² garden makes for an easy stroll without leaving the grounds. Guests can use the Dukes' Hotel Collection city-guide app, with walking routes through Bruges and a selection of museums and sights; canal boat trips and horse-drawn carriage rides start close by.
