About this hotel
General information
Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels occupies a grand Belle Époque building on Rue Royale in the city’s upper town. Its centrepiece is Palm Court, an 11-metre-high hall beneath a stained-glass skylight, where the day runs from breakfast to late dinner. The grand staircase, a stained-glass walkway and the historic salons — one of which hosts a chamber series of classical concerts — keep the air of old Brussels alive.
The interiors set heritage architecture against contemporary design and Belgian art, with works by local artists, herringbone parquet, marble and fireplaces in the rooms and suites. The house is meant as a meeting place for creative Brussels: the gastronomic La Paix, the Belgian brasserie Le Petit bon bon, the hidden cocktail bar Under The Stairs, a 1,200 m² spa created with Sisley and Coutume, a boutique of pieces by Belgian makers and designers.
Location
The hotel stands at Rue Royale 103 in the Notre-Dame-aux-Neiges quarter, a few minutes’ walk from Brussels Park, the Mont des Arts, the Magritte Museum and the Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries, with the Botanical Garden close by. Brussels Airport is 14 km away, about 22 minutes by taxi; Brussels South Charleroi Airport is 60 km, around an hour, and Antwerp airport 51 km. Valet parking and a hotel house car are available to guests.
Spa
Corinthia Spa Brussels spans 1,200 m², its design inspired by Belgian lace. Treatments are created with Sisley Paris and draw on botanical ingredients and modern skincare techniques. The thermal area brings together a sauna, a hammam-style steam room and experience showers, alongside private treatment rooms, a duo room for two, a Spa Café serving light seasonal dishes and a Sisley boutique.
Sports & leisure
The gym is equipped by Technogym and BLK BOX, open around the clock to hotel guests, with personal training programmes by appointment. The hotel offers its own Brussels experiences, such as private in-suite tailoring, and helps plan walks through the city — from Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture to museums and the shops of the Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries. Coutume hosts workshops in table styling and floristry. For meetings and celebrations there is a 450 m² conference floor for up to 150 guests, the historic salons and private dining rooms, and the hotel also hosts weddings.
Restaurants & bars
Dining runs from breakfast under the skylight to a gastronomic dinner, with in-room dining around the clock:
- La Paix — a gastronomic restaurant pairing French technique with Japanese precision, with a chef’s table for 2–10 guests and a private dining room for 6–24 in the historic salons
- Le Petit bon bon — a Belgian brasserie serving the country’s favourite dishes from seasonal produce, each with a light modern twist; lunch and dinner daily
- Under The Stairs — an intimate cocktail bar tucked beneath the staircase, where Art Deco meets the spirit of disco; signature cocktails, walk-ins only
- Palm Court — the skylit hall for breakfast, light lunches, pastries and dinner; from Friday to Sunday it serves Astoria Tea Time, an afternoon tea with Belgian touches
- The Courtyard — the inner courtyard, where Le Petit bon bon dishes and Under The Stairs cocktails are served in season
- Astoria Brunches — themed brunches in a historic salon: on Sundays, and on Saturday evenings with a DJ
