Blue Monkey Hotel & Beach Club is an intimate boutique hotel on the Platinum Coast of Barbados, in Paynes Bay in the parish of St James. It has 28 rooms and suites set in tropical gardens a few steps from the beach, and it is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
The rooms and suites are furnished with Italian pieces in a calm, pared-back style. Facilities include a spa, a 24-hour gym, a swimming pool, the Lebanese restaurant Amara, a rooftop lounge and Blue Bar, while a private Beach Club for hotel guests lies across the road on Paynes Bay Beach. Arrival at the airport is fast-tracked, and room service runs around the clock.
Location
The hotel sits in tropical gardens a few steps from the beach at Paynes Bay, in the parish of St James, on the west coast of Barbados known as the Platinum Coast. Its Beach Club stands directly across the road. Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) is about 25 km (15 miles) away, and luxury airport transfers and fast-track arrival are provided for every guest.

For children
The hotel welcomes families as well as couples. The Luxury Two Bedroom Suite is planned for families or groups: it has two en-suite bedrooms with king beds and a queen pull-out sofa, and takes up to five guests. Selected Luxury One Bedroom Suites also have a pull-out sofa.

Swimming
The Beach Club sits directly on Paynes Bay Beach, where the water is calm and turquoise and the sand is white. Loungers and umbrellas are reserved for guests, plush towels are provided, and there is a lounge area, with food and drinks served on the sand. The hotel also has a swimming pool, and each of the two Luxury Private Pool Suites has its own heated plunge pool in a private garden.

Executive Room

Luxury One Bedroom Suite
A bedroom with a king bed (and a queen pull-out sofa in selected suites), a separate living area and a private balcony; the bathroom has a walk-in shower and a double vanity. Up to three guests.
Luxury Two Bedroom Suite
Two en-suite bedrooms with king beds, a separate living area, two private balconies and a queen pull-out sofa; the main bathroom has a walk-in shower and a double vanity. Up to five guests.
Blue Monkey Signature Suite
A suite in the northern corner of the hotel with a king bed, a spacious living area, a powder room and a private balcony with views; the bathroom has a walk-in shower and a double vanity. Up to three guests.
Luxury Private Pool Suite
One of only two such suites, with a king bed, a separate living area, a powder room and a private garden with a heated plunge pool and loungers; the bathroom has a walk-in shower and a double vanity. Up to three guests.
