About this hotel
General information
The Cove at Atlantis is the all-suite tower of the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island, set between two white-sand beaches, Cove Beach and Paradise Beach, so that it feels more like a secluded retreat than part of a busy resort. Its open-air lobby follows the light from morning to sunset, and the interiors take their cues from the blue of the ocean and the pearly tone of the sand.
The tower holds 600 suites, most of them between 62 and 158 m², each with an open plan, a step-down living area and, in most cases, an ocean view. Higher categories include access to Lapis at The Cove, a club lounge for guests aged 12 and over with its own concierge, while the Sapphire Suites come with a dedicated butler. Guests of The Cove also have their own adults-only pool area with daybeds and private cabanas, along with several restaurants, a bar and Escape at The Cove, a boutique of fashion, jewellery and work by local artists.
Location
The tower stands on Paradise Island, linked by bridge to New Providence and Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. Nassau's international airport is about 15 km away, a scenic 20-minute drive along Cable Beach, through downtown Nassau and over the Paradise Island bridge; transfers by shared shuttle or private car can be booked in advance.
Spa
Mandara Spa draws on Balinese techniques, European therapies and natural ingredients from the Bahamas. It has relaxation lounges, a thermal area with steam room, sauna and cold plunge, a couples' suite, a beauty salon and a barber. Treatments include Balinese and deep-tissue massage, Bahamas Botanical, the Fire & Ice hot-stone ritual, the Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow, ocean wraps, ELEMIS facials and Kérastase hair rituals.
Sports & leisure
- A fitness centre next to the spa with cardio and strength equipment, free weights, cycling and yoga studios, personal training and group programmes.
- A four-lane, 25-metre lap pool beside the fitness centre.
- Three Har-Tru and three hard courts for tennis and pickleball, with racquet hire and lessons; a basketball court with six hoops.
- An 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course on the eastern peninsula of Paradise Island; the Lapis club concierge can arrange tee times.
- Non-motorised water sports at Paradise Lagoon: snorkelling, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and water bikes.
For children
Atlantis Kids Adventures welcomes children aged 3–12 for morning, afternoon and evening sessions led by adventure guides. Younger children (3–6) have themed rooms with a dolls' house for tea parties, a play grocery store, LEGO building, films and board games; older ones cook, sing and act in a performance room with a sound booth, play in a games room with consoles and work in an arts and crafts studio. Places are booked in advance. Teenagers aged 13–17 have their own club, CRUSH, with a games room and an internet lounge.
Restaurants & bars
The Cove's restaurants and bar are within the tower itself, and in-suite dining is available.
- Fish by José Andrés — fresh Bahamian seafood and seasonal produce; reservations recommended.
- Paranza by Michael White — regional Italian cooking with a focus on fish and seafood, house-made pasta and an oceanfront setting for dinner.
- Perch — market-driven breakfasts in a relaxed room, reserved for guests of the tower.
- Sea Glass — light tapas, fruit-infused martinis and signature cocktails from midday until late.
- Lapis at The Cove — the club lounge for guests of the club suites, with continental breakfast, afternoon hors d'oeuvres and evening cocktails.
